BNRR update 15/1/98

The Police swooped in on Greenwood last nigh and all residents were
askedto leave. There was one arrest for breach of bail conditions.
Most of the people arrested at Moneymore and the Nuclear bunker are in
court week begining 18th January 1998.

A Nuclear Bunker was occupied over the weekend but the police swooped
at @4pm Sunday 10th. Six people were arrested and should be released
to day the charges were according to Det Sgt Wyatt for criminal
damage and burglary, although there was no suggestion anything had
been stolen from the site.

He said it was too early to say if any charges would be brought
and it was unlikely the activists would be released until today.

The land upon which Greenwood Camp sits has been transferred from ARC
to the Highways Agency. As such protesters have been summoned to the
High Court on Monday 11th January 1998. This would indicate the
Highways Agency to commence evictions at Green Wood in the near future.
