===============================
For those of you who could not make the link, the article dealt with the
question of fore knowledge of the attack on the Terror attack on New York.

The problem then, is not the lack of intelligence data as first claimed, but an
over abundence of it.

Which information do you take seriously? Which is the greater threat? Is it a
distraction planted by someone, or is it the real thing? How do you stop it?
Can you stop it even though you know about it? Does the planners of the attack
have a backup plan? What if you have three differnt and credible threats, one
by hijacked aircrash, one by a truck bomb or one of simple terrorism like
starting multiple fires in various cities all at the same time? Do you lock
down the country and turn it into a police state? Or do you do the best you can
in trying to stop the threat? What is the exact date of the attack? the exact
time? How many people involved?

The very magnitude of 9-11 showed careful planning and a rather tight-knit cell
structure. Hell, even Dezi stated that the hijackers getting aboard the
aircraft didnt know what their mission was untill the last moment, if ever at
all. Hey people, the purpose of terrorism is to cause terror, mistrust and the
maximum amount of damage. And what was the real target? A structural raid on
Twin Towers or the now established raid on the stock market by Bin Laden?

And if you know that it is going to happen, what do you do. Shoot down all
planes that appeared to be hijacked? Stop all trucks that are in New York, Los
Angeles, Dallas? Block off Wall Street?

And what if the attack is not a singular event? What if it is multiple in
nature such as the above mentioned fire conflagration? Or biological?

Knowing of the threat and stopping it are two diffrent things. I think that
everyone, or just about everyone, from journalists to diplomats to military
knew that something was coming well before 9-11. And it was like being on the
beach as a giant wave comes roaring towards you. You know its coming but you
cant do anything to stop it.

In Reflection

I'll tell you what.. You provide me evidence that your flat
was firebombed, and you were instrumental in Don Kool
being convicted of a Federal crime, and we'll take it from
there, and I'll not speak again of you not archiving your
posts. Because as of now, you're not only a thief, having
deceptively taken the handle of another; a disgusting
little twit, afraid that your words will prove you to be a
hypocrite; but a liar as well, since I don't believe for one
moment that your flat was firebombed, nor that you are
doing anything but lying about Don Kool and a Federal
crime. Lying simply matches the rest of your persona.
And 'lying' is not your 'right' in a public forum.

Of course, and it's also the right to respond to a post in
a public forum. Regardless of the presumed intent.
You see, desi... what you presume is YOUR 'right,' is
something that takes away the 'right' of another. You
are demanded that you can say ANYTHING you wish,
and no one can respond if you don't wish them to. If
you do not wish your words recorded in a public forum,
there is a simply solution... Don't offer them. But,
apparently the 'Nixon of AADP,' doesn't wish to stand
behind what he says, so he can change his story from
month to month. Everyone here now sees that it's more
than your desire for 'privacy,' desi. Privacy in one's
personal life can be assured by posting anonymously,
as others (including me) do. But you revel in the idea
that you can provide a name, accompanied by some
of the most disgusting trash we have here. While at
the same moment you desire 'privacy,' of those words.
Of course, now your current posting under the handle
of another, in a response to a response, is simply more
fodder for the proof of your hypocrisy, and your usual
immature, and petty petulance, that someone might
be responding to your posts. Chee... no wonder I've
found you to be the moron of the airways.

And isn't it funny how I suddenly ended in your killfile,
the moment I asked for more information about the
'Baltimore County Police'? Is it your 'right' to spread
what I believe is a LIE? Remember... the 'truth'
shall set you free.

Why should you care the least bit about this article? You posted that you
don't think bin Laden or al Quaida had anything to do with it.

The Bush administration has been most inefficient and perhaps
cowardly about the the information passed to them by the FBI
in August but that is a huge step away from saying that Bush
'lied' about the events of that day. I could not be more certain
that the destruction of the WTC and part of the Pentagon was as
big a surprise to him as it was to me. Frankly that should not
have been the case. If the CIA and the FBI had pooled their
respective intelligence information, the White House would have
been forwarned and so would America. There would have been
no need for panic (as Jiggy has suggested) just the correct preventive
measures to stop terrorists entering cockpits.

That's just it. There was no intelligence per se. Intelligence is specific
as to who, what, where, and when. This can be acted upon. However, all
they had to go on was vague, indeterminable bits and pieces of information.
Even had the CIA and FBI pooled _all_ the snippets that they had for the
last 5 years, it still would not have indicated what day, which flights,
what targets, and what terrorists. Otherwise, the only way to have avoided
this event would be to completely shut down all commercial and private air
traffic for an indefinite period of years.

There would have been

The airlines were notified, but in the absence of any compelling forseeable
event, it was business as usual. Everyone is looking at this through the
distortion of hindsight, and are blaming Bush because he was no possessed of
unheard-of psychic abilities to predict the future based on a couple of
random pieces of information among a flood of information pouring into
Washington.

From whence did you get this information that Bush lied, Desmond? A random
web page?

There is no story here, so there is nothing to leak, regardless of your dark
fantasies of vast, sinister governmental conspiracies. They tried to say
that Roosevelt knew that Pearl Harbor was going to be bombed but nothing
ever came of it. This little flap is also headed for the oblivion it
deseerves, once the desperate Democrats realize that this non-issue that
they are trying to press is like as not to blow up in their faces. Hillary
Clinton has already made a foolish spectacle of herself. I'm waiting to see
who else.

What you SAID EXACTLY was "the truth is that Osamo
bin-Laden had absolutely nothing to do with the events of
11 September"

Now if the Bush administration knew about information
involving those who 'had absolutely nothing to do with the
events of 11 September,' exactly what are you saying?
That the administration had information about those who
had nothing to do with the attack???

Just another example of your hypocrisy, desi. You say
one thing, and a few months later say something else,
if it serves your purpose. First it was NOT bin Laden,
now it WAS bin Laden but the President knew that
it was. No wonder some here wish to archive your
ridiculous paradoxical statements.

Arabs? Why do you mention Arabs? According to you, they had nothing to do
with it -- remember? You are the one who posted a link to page that
suggested that the jets were not hijacked, but controlled from the ground
via robotics, all according to a plot laid out by the Bush administration.
When they aired the tapes of bin Laden, you dismissed them as forgeries.

Jesus Christ, Desmond. If you insist on being a flaming crackpot, at least
try to be a consistent flaming crackpot.

Arrrggggg!!!.. If EVER there was proof that desi's ONLY objective
here in this newsgroup, is to make it his own vile vessel to spread
poison, lies and ignorance, this is the post. From my first notice
of desi some months ago, it became obvious to me that he
exhibited an emotionally cruel streak, and held intense hate for the
U.S., while actually caring little about the DP. He uses this newsgroup
as his own personal forum to spread that hate, using whatever lie
he finds useful whenever he can. And when caught in the act,
will resort to ANY device, regardless of how obscene to show how
obscene he can be. From lies, the many he's been caught in;
to deceit, the posts he's been caught in; desi remains desi. Totally
without any hint of principle or spark of integrity. Filled with
self-loathing over his own existence, 'self-loathing desi' is driven
by a psychotic need to loath others. His latest CRIME, forgery,
only shows how deep his sickness really is. He posts filth,
posts it in the name of another to hope others believe it comes
from the one whose name he has forged. And then he revels,
in front of this group, that he has done so.

Does anyone believe that desi is anything other than empty windbag lies?

Please... you're asking more than desi is capable of giving. That's
why he refuses to archive his posts. He is of course a crackpot.
But he likes to stay an inconsistent one, and doesn't like people
reminding him of his crackpot posts that conflict with his previous
crackpot posts.

Ask him about his saying that he's not afraid of death in one post,
while saying he would shit his drawers if he was ever faced with
death in another post. Desi posts the most conflicting shit
imaginable... always has... always will.
