A common mistake/ploy by FW.
Amusingly, it nearly always backfires, since such tactics are easily
disproved and often lead to some quite catastrophic spankings.
It's called 'Rhodes Disorder' after the incident in which he quoted from a
case, which was in turn a quotation from a statute. THe case in question
then went on (which the group noted following FW helpfully providing a
link which he hadn't read) to say that 'Although the Statute says that, what
the statute actually means is this...'.
He still has problems sitting down to this day.

Seeing as how Black's Law Dictionary is the definitive reference source
to U.S. Legal terms, just as the OED is the British English, and that
the dictionary has been cited in SCOTUS rulings, it is absurd to claim
it is for 'newbies.' Louise is the 'newbie.'

I paraphrased his words in the URL you have referred to, by saying
"No longer capable of rational thought, and depending on
quaint little phrases such as 'law dictionaries are for wannabees.'"
And he quite agreed that such was EXACTLY what he was saying,
by replying -- "Oh, but they are!" With a great big exclamation mark
to demonstrate his agreement with my paraphrase. There is no
doubt whatsoever that he has said 'law dictionaries are for wannabees,'
in his total agreement with those few words.
