The snake oil that was promoted by Ronald Reagan, which was described
as "voodoo economics" by his then rival GHW Bush, is in the distant
past. The snake oil that was promoted by W has apparently worn off for
many Americans who are now desperate for another fix/dose to be
administered by the consummate snake-oil peddler Romney.

Savings and loan cost 500 billion. In our time that would be close to
1,2 trillion. Supply my side this time willya?

After the Savings and Loans, under GHW Bush there was also the bailout
of commercial banks.
