I have a functioning water heater, which is nice. Not only warm water
but warm water right away instead of waiting for it to gurgle it's way
through cold pipes from the furnace.
I'm just about ready to give up on the heat-pump guy ever getting his
shit together and just order one on-line instead.

Just how deep is your well? You probably should check that the cover is
secure and solid enough to repel debbils.

The sulfer smell is most likely caused by bacteria in the water heater. Try turning up the temperature on the water heater but be careful not to burn yourself. I think the bacteria is eating the heating element or temperature sensor. You can call a plumber and they will replace the part.

That will be ~60m in proper units, then.

I would think hell is lower than that...

Whenever I try to be flexible my back hurts for days. Also I'm very
accepting of other cultures - unless they are very silly.
I even made the conversion myself this time.

They will have to be quite small anyway if they can go around possessing
people without anyone noticing.

All I can say is that it's confusing and overly complicated and no way
to build a space rocket. Also driving for 5 hours is madness - you
should definitely move your cities closer together.

I don't think I've heard anyone using anything but SI-units [1] here
since I was a little lad (so latter half of 1960s) when my mum sometimes
bought a pound of coffee or a half pound of butter - and even then a
danish "pound" was exactly 500g.

That's what they want you to think...

[1] There was a change from using calories to joule as base unit for
energy but that was a change between values derived (calculated) from
SI-units.

I've heard/read 'stick' too - but I think that is supposed to be a
'cup'. As if anyone would use a cup to measure butter...

Did they also teach the conversion to larger-scale measures. If say you
had to make Sauce Béarnaise for 50 people?

allow us to laugh at the silly foreigners while they stand bewildered by

Slippers fall of or turn into weird shapes that causes stumbling and
potentially falling down.
I need some good norwegian winter socks. Like the ones I was issued
doing national service, of which I still have one left. I wish I had the
one for the other foot as well...

Not normally. Odd sock aren't often an issue if you buy 12 pairs of the

I said my feet are *maybe* crooked. It could also be I fidget with my
feet when I sit down, and that causes the slipper crookedness.

Also I do wash on occasion. My feet smell like perfume free shower gel.

Speaking of heating, I recently submitted my gas and electric readings recently. They calculated I have to pay £30 extra a month for gas and electric going forward, but at the same time they also gave me a significant refund for what I'd paid so far. It defies all logic!

Not really. I think you guys (used to) have a mandated cap on prices -
so if you have used less than estimated they have to give you back
money. This years prices have gone up so much that your smaller volume
will cost you the extra £30. It's not illogical; it's just greed...

It's a little known fact that 'they' don't use any actual outdoor air or
grass in those kind of product; nor pine needles or lemons or what have

As my imaginary friend I assumed you were fluent in danish. Also who

It's not much different from having a "mother's day" or "father's day"

of many random acts by people running around trying to fulfil their

You don't turn orange from eating carrots. Unless you're a flamingo and
even they are more pinkish.

Probably not. I live in the country - the product selection is somewhat
basic... (also I haven't looked for it).

Mostly they are here for one or two weeks - renting a holiday home.
Given that it will rain half the time they need to get a proper sunburn
on one of the first days in order for the peeling to have ended and some
actual colour to show up before they go home to brag about their holiday.
But seriously, they a mostly germans - who are their own kind of weird -
or 'rich' assholes from the Copenhagen area who thinks they bought the
whole county (and everyone in it) when they rented the house. And don't
ask me about their parking.

I wouldn't know. I've never had a starb*cks product, nor have I ever
been in one of their stores. With a total of 16 outlets in the country,
the closest being 75Km away I doubt I will have the experience anytime soon.

By back is quite troublesome enough already. I daren't thy ordering it
to do anything.

I don't know how. Also that most likely requires some raw materials that

How in the world does on pour from one of those. We had milkbags for a

Okay, so it's a three-pack of milkbags. I imagined one floppy bag of
four litres and a giant two-handed jug.

I would never... I don't remember ever eating anything chickpea-based. I

There is a decent chance, yes. If say they where from Shetland or Orkney
it would be a near certainty... That would probably be Norwegian
heritage then, but the distinction was somewhat blurry back then.

Instead of rice? Or as a filler, perhaps... Like potatoes in irish stew.

Dunno. I'm so old that we had to learn how to read gothic (german)
script, possibly as a punishment, or to read really old chancellery
documents.

English script is rather different I think and changes a lot over time
along with the vocabulary. Even being able to read it doesn't imply
being able to understand it.

Have fun with that. But only on Tuesday. Also aren't there already often
beans in tacos? Beans are also a good protein source. Not as good as
steak, but still.

Fine! Fish it is then. Fish has a lot of omega3 fatty acid, which is
good for you.
Or maybe lamb. Lamb taco will probably be fine, although the maybe not
with hummus. Unless one really loves garlic.

Not if I'm mentioned in them.

I'm on the edge of my seat here...

Good. It's hardly bragable to be on my stress lits. Or rare...

Please do. It would be nice to be mentioned in a will. I've never been
mentioned in anyone else's will before.

There aren't really any persons on my lits - one of the many advantages
of not working.

Laws of inheritance in most cases make wills mostly unnecessary, unless
you don't have any children or siblings. Or you are very rich...

That's completely up to you. I'm just saying it considerably shortened

Sure - here as well. But seems mainly to make sure the inheritance tax
is paid in full.
The current law specifies who inherit and how much based in familial
connection. Also that in case of any "life-heir" (spouse or direct
