When are they going to build a tunnel under the Atlantic so we Yanks can hop
a train over to the continent?

I haven't met anyone yet. I've been chatting to Colin on ICQ but he is
in exams right now so I've prolly caused him to fail!
I don't have any cash to go socialising just now anyway.
Sometime we should have a mass meeting of the UK Acme-ites.

Doesn't it have to start out as a foot bridge, and eventually get upgraded
to an underground tunnel?

I'm dangerous when I know what I'm doing.
It could but then it wouldn't reach nearly far enough to span the Atlantic.

It would just require some lumber from a really big tree.
Even a giant redwood wouldn't have enough wood to span the Atlantic...unless
it was splintered down into tooth picks. But then only smallish creatures
like ants or aphids could cross.

Use more than one tree. Hold them together with duct tape.
But you suggested using only one tree before. Now that we are open to using
multiple trees and duct tape, the possibilities have expanded enormously!

That should have been Xbvious enough that I wouldn't have to mention it.

Don't be a LEMUR.
All I really wanted to do was build a bridge for the underpriveleged ants
and aphids.

Then you'd only need a few trees. But still a lot of tape.
