Haggard was a pretty light hearted guy, a hypocrite for sure but a
nice person. A friend of mine, a , male prostitute knew him pretty
well, he died of aids. I'm not gay or anything but I knew what was
happening on the streets.
Haggard used to have underage male prostitutes get in his car, I don't
know what they were doing, as far as I know he just took them out to
eat. As far as the other guys, Christan scumbags who divide Americans.

These new age liberals are 180 degree opposites from the classic

Moreover they despise the military and salivate at the thought of our

Ok on one thread we have the the left-wing as total pacifist
appeasers, and have liberals as representing genocidal murders. Me
thinks the right merely stands against the left, but don't know where
the left stands, let alone where they stand.

Subject: Journey Though Shame by Rokelle Lerner

This is a synopsis from the book 'Journey Though Shame' by Rokelle
Lerner. The book is much better then this series of notes...

CODEPENDENCE

A learned pattern of feelings, beliefs, and behaviours that make life
painful. This is a learned pattern, so therefore, it can be unlearned.
(One of the major tasks for us as adult children, is to learn and unlearn
many things. It can be done) A focus on people and things outside of
yourself to the point of self neglect and having very little identity.
Locus of control is outside of yourself, without the inner resources to
discern how you feel or how to behave in a given situation. You have to
look outside of yourself for definition and to find out how you are.

You do not have to be a child of an alcoholic (COA/ACA) to be codependent
-- any critical parent will do. If you were raised by shaming critical
parents you are most likely to display some codependent behaviours.

Codependency has much to do with shame because when you are ashamed as a
child , you become numb. You become unaware of your feelings, your
needs. When you internalize abusive messages very young you become
resigned to suffering and feel like you have no internal source of power.
You enter into abusive relationships and can develop compulsive
behaviours. This all happens as a result of shame and are also symptoms
of codependency.

The definition for an addict, is that an addict is a person who follows a
spiritual calling by going to the wrong address. It is a spiritual
illness that produces physical manifestations. What we want isnºt bad, we
are looking for wholeness and completeness, we just learn to knock on the
wrong doors to get it. The same with codependency. So COAs see both
addiction and codependency and choose one of the other, but not
consciously. The difference between compulsive behaviour and addiction,
is when people do some sort of compulsive behaviour they usually feel
worse afterwards, an addict will feel better (for a short time) there is a
big difference here.

SHAME:

Some people do not know what they want, they havenºt been intimate enough
with themselves to know what they would wish for if they could. This is a
direct result of shame. Many COAºs have disowned their dreams, disowned
their desires, this is a direct result of shame. It numbs the spirit,
numbs creativity, numbs self esteem. If you came from a shame based
family, you feel as if you are bad, as intelligent as you may be, when
shame takes over, you lose all objectivity. The bad thing is then, that
despair seems where you are so used to being.

Shame is a form of family violence, and it causes more human misery then
any other form of violence, probably because it is more socially
acceptable and not noticed as abuse.

Shame is at the root of compulsive behaviour and shame propels most
addictions.

Many of us carry things from childhood when we were belittled, humiliated
and have internalized those critical messages until we no longer need a
mother and a father around calling us names, we just give it to ourselves
and literally drown in our own criticism. We learn to treat ourselves the
way we were treated, others learn to treat us the way we treat ourselves,
so it is no coincidence that other people shame us - as we unconsciously
give them permission to.

We thing, if I could just get well enough, just lean enough, if I could
just get a little more peaceful, the rotten piece inside will go away.
The empty hole of blackness in our chests we try to fill from outside with
drugs, sex, religion, bigotry instead of filling that hole from inside
with ourselves and our higher power.

Part of the unpacking shame is to learn to attach some voices and faces to
those names that we call ourselves so that when we start to criticize
ourselves, ask yourself where did I learn to treat myself that way. You
can even call out to the inner shaming voice to identify it self to show
itself and it will scurry away - it is really scared. Give it love and
let it speak all it wants - then let it know that you are driving now and
thank them for keeping you alive in a very difficult situation - but life
is different now. You are in charge - not the inner voice.

Shame starts when we are very little and occurs when we allow ourselves to
love someone and our basic expectation of someone is exposed as wrong.
Example, when you run to dad for a hug and he tells you to get the hell
away from him, or he is busy. etc. When this happens again and again, it
is like someone with big scissors cut this interpersonal bridge that
exists between parent and child, it is a severance, a ripping of that
bridge.

There is a real difference between shame and guilt. When you have guilt,
it means your behaviour was wrong, when you have shame it means that you
are wrong. It means that somehow you are rotten to the core, deficient as
a human being, no matter what you do you will be rotten unless some
cataclysmic changes happen and the heavens part ! I am talking about
abusive using families where shame is the communication style.

SHAME OCCURS IN FAMILIES WHERE THERE ARE THREE CHARACTERISTICS:

Shame occurs in families where these is abuse, physical or emotional abuse.

Shame occurs in families where there is either physical or emotional
abandonment.

Shame occurs in families where there are enmeshments, where they donºt
know where one person ends and the other person begins.

Plus blaming, itºs your fault, leave me alone.

And keeping secrets, there is probably nothing that keeps kids more
alienated and shameful than when they have these secrets floating around.

When rules are used as teaching tools, but used to punish, to limit and
restrict, shame occurs. So when you get discipline, you think there is
something wrong with you, nobody separated the behaviour from the
person. When rules are used to guide and instruct they are then
principals.

Faulty realty checking, there are some kids that point the finder again
and again and nobody listens. So they think they must be crazy because
there perceptions are not validated by other people, so what they see
isnºt real. That is why COAs are compulsive note takers, because unless
they document it, it didnºt happen. Most abusive/using families are tight
and closed and nobody is talking about anything, kids canºt comment on
their reality, and it produces shame.

SHAME BASED FAMILY CLUB - Rules for membership.

The first rule is belonging to a shaming family is always having to do the
right thing, except that nobody ever quite tells you what the right thing
is.

Rule #2 - if it doesnºt go as planned, blame someone.

Rule #3 - always be in control, and if youºre not in control, use whatever
works, abuse, seduction, change the subject, donºt answer questions, be
helpful by meddling, what ever - just be in control.

Rule #4 - never talk about IT. You donºt talk about it so you wonºt be
blamed for it, even if you donºt even have a clue about what IT is.

Rule #5 - donºt expect accountability or consistency. If you are used to
getting your needs met every other Tuesday when the moon is full, if you
do not know what you have to do to get your needs met, it will produce a
kind of shame, that is why COAs do not pick people in relationships tat
are there day to day meeting our needs, that is boring.

Rule #6 - stay out of touch with your feelings, have absolutely no
emotional reality.

Rule #7 - above all else, DENY, DENY, DENY.

When you were shamed for your basic needs, to be touched, nurtured, to
exert your own power, to separate at some point from the family, shame
occurs. And COAs get shamed for separating. You feel you will lose the
love and attention of a parent who was never really there for you in the
first place, and the silver cord to your alcoholic family remains
forever. So we get shamed for wanting to be touched, shamed for our
needs. To be needy or have needs are the same, and for some of us to be
needy is the most loathsome, disgusting thing.

SO WHAT HAPPENS TO US WHEN WE DISOWN OUR NEEDS.

Itºs like you throw a part of yourself in the garbage. Itºs like I know
what YOU need, but I donºt have a clue as to what I need, and that is the
dynamic of shame.

We all have needs to be met and after a while it hurts so badly that we
have to act out in some way, we walk around in a trance not knowing what
we are doing and we alienate ourselves from our needs, it triggers denial
and we live unconsciously. Trance is OK for movies and TV but not OK in
relationships. It is not OK to have your feet planted firmly in the air
all the time. The problem here is intimacy, because we canºt connect with
someone who isnºt connected with themselves. And that is what happens
when you are shamed for your needs, you disconnect yourself and walk
around in a trance.

DEFENDING STRATEGIES

One defending strategy for shame is grandiosity, I have to be better then
the rest because if I am not better that the rest of you will see how
rotten I am.

Another is power, the more power I have the less shame I feel. So we try
to get in from money, jobs, position, etc.

Certainly overcontroling is a defending strategy. This is a big issue for
COAs.

Perfectionism is another defending strategy. COAs can not embrace their
humanness.

Certainly blaming, and ambition for people who say Ñdonºt see me as I am,
see me over here as I will become, or compare me with another worse
personæ

SHAME MANIFESTATIONS

Projection is a way shame manifests itself, i.e., I go to someone and say
Ñyou need a hugæ, when the reality is that I need the hug, to project our
own needs to others. As a presenter, if I have shame for my feelings, I
might say, theyºre out to get me, they are planning my demise in the back,
and what I am masking is my own feelings of contempt, but I am just
putting it onto someone else. Contempt could be thinly veiled rage.

We cover it up by conversion. If we were shamed for the need to be
touched, then we convert it into something more acceptable. Example, a
man comes home and wants to be just held, which is not acceptable, but he
comes home and says ÑIºm hornyæ, this is acceptable.

Shame is something that compels, it is the root of compulsive behaviour.
IF you were shamed for your feelings you become numb, gradually you
develop some defending strategies for shame, sometimes the only way to
feel again is some kind of compulsive ritual such as eating, shopping,
workalcoholism, gambling, sex, violence, intolerance (180 degrees from
sick is still sick), drug abuse, hiding in the bathroom. Compulsive
behaviour is the search for the self.

Impression management is another way shame manifests. You are constantly
trying to manage the impressions that other people have of you. You are
constantly giving a performance. For those of us who feel we have this
unseen audience which some people call the Ñcommitteeæ, that remarks on
our performance all day - sit up straight, gee - you blew that one, etc.
What we need to do is pull the blinds on the unseen audience, get them to
resign from doing a performance, to turn down the volume and get them off
the stage. This is another dynamic of shame and is called an inner
dialogue disorder.

THE JOURNEY THOUGH SHAME

The therapeutic relationship is the catalyst through shame, the
relationship that you develop with another human being defuses shame.
When people are treated differently, shame starts to deminish, when you
start to establish a deep relationship with another human being, and you
know they will be there for you no matter what you show them, that does
more to unpack shame then anything else. A connection with another human
being, whether it is a therapist, a good friend, or a recovery buddy, does
more to repair that interpersonal bridge severed as a child then anything.

Confrontation doesnºt work with shameful people. What does work
effectively is being ourselves, and giving ourselves new sensitized
messages. Teach people to repair themselves, and give them these
internalized sensitive messages either thought guided imagery, that royal
road to the unconscious that we all have.

PURPOSE OF AFFIRMATIONS

A story about someone who was plagued with this inner dialogue disorder.
She couldnºt be alone, she had to busy herself all day and all night. All
you do is play thoughts over and over in your mind so that you have no
room to feel. This woman was so busy because whenever she would slow
down, certain compulsive disorders called frenetic activity, which just
meant that she could not be alone. She was getting physically and
emotionally ill. One day on the way home from work she had no place to go
and nothing to do, and those inner tapes started to play.

Things that told her - youºll always be alone - you are so sick - I donºt
know why anybody would want to be with you - you are going to be alone for
the rest of your life - you are just no damn good. Those messages
paralyzed her, she had to pull over to the side of the road, and she cried
and cried, she just couldnºt move. At that point, things changed for her,
because then she had to do what her therapist told her to do, which was to
substitute those negative words and thoughts with positive affirmations -
repeated again and again like the shame statements were repeated again and
again - like a mantra (Hindu for Ñmind toolæ).

We just canºt get rid of these messages, we have to replace them with
something. You have to look at yourself in the mirror everyday and say to
yourself things like ÑI will be with meæ, because she had abandoned
herself. ÑI will always be with me and I will never abandon myself again,
ever, I will be with me for the rest of my life.æ This is where the
purpose of affirmations was not to make something true, but to wake up and
celebrate the reality. To wake up, that is what affirmations can do.

CULTURAL MYTHS

Myths (systems of knowledge) we learn from our culture. A favorite fairy
tale is usually a personºs script. Here are some fairy tales that are
stories of codependency.

Cinderella - She was shamed as a little girl, she resigned herself to
drudgery and suffering in servitude, she has no internal source of power,
waits to be rescued and who does she pick? Some goof ball who forgets to
get her name and address, who want so marry her before he knows her and
doesnºt have the decency to come himself, he sends some errand boy to see
if the shoe fits.

Snow White - About a woman was banished by her alcoholic stepmother (I
mean who else would stand in front of a mirror and talk to herself all
day) and what does Snow White do ? She sets out and focuses herself on
some small little men, each with a flaw, gets poisoned into a near death
experience and wakes up to a necrophelic French kissing her and says Ñlets
get marriedæ.

The Emperorºs New Cloths - Simply a story about delusions and denial,
where this kind deludes this whole town into thinking heºs wearing this
gorgeous rode when he is wearing nothing. Then this little kid who sees
what is going on, trys to tell people, and he is hushed and nobody listens
to the accurate observations. Children are not to be trusted is the story
line, and high politicians try to fool the people all the time with tax
cuts to the rich, corporate welfare is good, while families go begging in
the streets for food.

This is what we get for reading these stories to our children and the
disease is passed from generation to generation.

Hitler as Religious Leader

S ince Hitler saw himself as a Messiah with a divine mission to save
Germany from the
incarnate evil of "International Jewry," it is not surprising that he
likened himself to Jesus.
On one occasion during the 1920s, as he lashed about him with the whip
he habitually
carried, he said that "in driving out the Jews, I remind myself of Jesus in
the temple." At another
time he said, "Just like Christ, I have a duty to my own people...."

At a Christmas celebration in 1926 he thought it appropriate to compare his
own historical
importance favorably with that of Jesus. Christ had changed the dating of
history; so would
Hitler, for his final victory over the Jews would mark the beginning of a
new age in the history of
the world. "What Christ began," he observed, he, Hitler, "would complete."
And in a speech on
10 February 1933 he parodied the Lord's Prayer in promising that under him a
new kingdom
would come on earth, and that his would be "the power and the glory, Amen."
He added that if
he did not fulfill his mission, "you should then crucify me."

He liked to remind his followers that a turning point in his life came in
1919, when he undertook
his mission. He told an aide that during the preceding autumn, as he lay
wounded in a military
hospital, he had received a supernatural vision which commanded him to save
Germany. And
through the years he came back repeatedly to stress the importance of the
year 1919. In a
speech to the commanding generals of the Wehrmacht on 23 November 1939, he
began two
paragraphs with the same idea:

When I began my political work in 1919 I based it....

The first resolution was made in 1919 when, after long internal
struggles, I became
a politician and took up the battle against my enemy.

Manifestly the date was important to Hitler. He was at that time 30 years
old -- the same age
another Messiah is reported to have begun his mission to save mankind.

That he saw himself as the special agent of God and identified with Him was
made manifest on
many occasions:

I go the way that Providence dictates for me with all the assurance of
a
sleepwalker.

-- Speech of 14 March 1936, Munich

God has created this people and is has grown according to His will. And
according
to our will [nach unserem Willen] it shall remain and never shall it
pass away.

-- Speech of 31 July 1937, Breslau

I believe that it was God's will that from here [Austria] a boy was
sent into the
Reich and that he grew up to become the leader of the nation.

-- Speech of 9 April 1938, Vienna

Hitler did not like to be told that the ways of God were not always revealed
to him. On one
occasion an aide noted that "God does not let people look at the cards He
holds" [Der liebe
Gott Lasst sich nicht in seine Karten sehen]. Hitler immediately broke forth
into such a
paroxysm of fury that he himself feared a heart attack. He gave orders that
the aide never repeat
the offensive phrase.

The feeling that he was being specially guided from on high grew more
intense through the years.
On 16 September 1935 he said, "What was denied to millions of men was given
to us by
Providence, and our work will be still remembered by the last members of
posterity." In a speech
in his hometown of Linz, 12 March 1938: "When I once departed from this
city, I carried with
me the very same confession of faith that fills me today ... If Providence
once then called me from
out of this city ... then Providence must thereby have given me a
mission...."

His convictions were reinforced by miraculous escapes from assassination.
After the failure of the
bomb plot of 20 July 1944 he told a naval aide, "How the Almighty has stayed
their [assassins']
hands once more. Don't you agree that I should consider it as a nod of Fate
that it intends to
preserve me for my assigned task." His valet remembers that Hitler was very
calm, saying, "That
is new proof that I have been selected from among other men by Providence to
lead greater
Germany to victory." And again, "Because I have been saved while others had
to die, it is clearer
than ever that the fate of Germany lies in my hands."

His version of human history was essentially one of religious mythology. He
believed that a pure
German people had lived in an early Garden of Eden. But this pure race had
been attacked by
the Devil, made incarnate in the form of the Jew. Indeed, he said explicitly
that "the Jew is the
personification of the Devil and of all evil." And thus he reached his
conclusion that in fighting the
Devil he was doing the work of Almighty God. In Hitler's theology, a
different original sin
replaced the once committed in the biblical Garden of Eden. "The mixture of
the races is the
original sin [Erdsunde] of this world," he claimed. "The sins against blood
and race are the
original sins of the world." He thought of World War II in eschatological
terms, and saw himself
as the commander of the forces of good standing at Armageddon and battling
the forces of
Satan. "Often it seems to me as if we are all being tested by the Devil and
Satan, and we must
pass through Hell together until we finally obtain ultimate victory."

He did not view the Party and the Reich merely as secular organizations. "I
consider those who
establish or destroy religion much greater than those who establish a State,
to say nothing of
founding a Party," he had written in Mein Kampf. And years later he told his
followers, "We are
not a movement, rather we are a religion."

The institutional pattern he used for creating his New Order was the Roman
Catholic Church,
which had so greatly impressed him. As a boy he had dreamed of being an
abbot. When he
became Fuhrer, however, he raised his sights and saw himself as a political
Pope with an
apostolic succession. He announced to a closed meeting of the faithful in
the Brown House
during 1930: "I hereby set forth for myself and my successors in the
leadership of the Party the
claim of political infallibility. I hope the world will grow as accustomed
to that claim as it has to
the claim of the Holy Father."

He also fancied himself as a religious leader of the non-Christian world he
planned to conquer.
"I'm going to become a religious figure. Soon I'll be the great chief of the
Tartars. Already Arabs
and Moroccans are mingling my name with their prayers."

Hitler saw striking parallels between his Ministry of Propaganda and
Enlightenment and the
Church's Congregation for the Propaganda of the Faith (Congregatio de
Propaganda Fide).
He remarked that his task was not to communicate knowledge "but holy
conviction and
unconditional faith." He viewed the 25 articles of his Party as "the dogma
of our faith" and the
"rock" upon which the Party was built. Hitler's proclamation of the
"Thousand Year Reich" has
religious resonance. He was also fond of speaking of the "inseparable
Trinity" of State,
Movement, and Volk. As the sign and symbol of his movement Hitler chose a
special type of
cross, and personally modified the design of this Hakenkreuz.

The colossal Assembly Hall planned for his new capital of Germania should be
seen as a secular
cathedral rather than a civic building. The dome was to be large enough to
encompass the Dome
of St. Peter's seven times -- a favorite number. As Albert Speer has noted,
"It was basically a
hall of worship ... without such cult significance the motivation for
Hitler's main structure would
have been senseless and unintelligible."

In reminiscing about the institutions and ideas that had influenced him,
Hitler said that he had
learned a great deal from Marxist terrorism, from the Protocols of the
Elders of Zion, and from
the Freemasons. But, he concluded, "Above all, I have learned from the
Jesuit order." Certainly
the oath of direct obedience to the Fuhrer was strikingly reminiscent of the
special oath that
Jesuits swear to the Pope. Moreover, Hitler spoke of his elite SS, who wore
the sacred symbol
and dressed in black, as his Society of Jesus. He also ordered SS officers
to study the Spiritual
Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola for training in the rigid discipline of the
faith.

The close parallel between commitment to God and the sacred oath of
allegiance to Hitler is seen
in a description of public oath-taking recorded in the Nazi newspaper
Westdeutscher
Beobachter:

Yesterday witnessed the profession of the religion of the blood in all
its imposing
reality ... whoever has sworn his oath of allegiance to Hitler has
pledged himself
unto death to this sublime idea.

The bolts of excommunication and anathema which Hitler hurled against
nonbelievers and
heretics were not unlike those of a Gregory VII:

Woe to them who do not believe. These people have sinned ... sinned
against all of
life ... it is a miracle of faith that Germany has been saved. Today
more than ever it
is the duty of the Party to remember this National Socialist confession
of faith
[Glaubensbekenntnis] and to bear it forward as our holy [heiliges] sign
of our
battle and our victory.

The Nazis, like the Catholics, had their prophets, saints, and martyrs. The
Fuhrer sanctified his
disciples who fell during the Beer Hall Putsch when he said, in dedicating
their memorial, that
their death would bring forth "a true belief in the resurrection of their
people ... the blood that
they shed becomes the baptismal water of the Third Reich."

Hitler's holy reliquary was the Brown House, containing the sacred Blood
Flag which had been
borne by the martyrs of 9 November 1923. It was Hitler and Hitler alone who
could perform the
priestly ritual of touching the Blood Flag to the standards of the Brown
Shirts.

Hitler substituted Nazi high holy days for traditional religious holidays.
The Nazi holidays included
30 January, the day he came to power in the year he referred to as "the holy
year of our Lord
1933," and 20 April, his own birthday and the day when the Hitler Youth were
confirmed in their
faith. The holiest day, and the one which served as a kind of Nazi Good
Friday, was 9
November, celebrated as the Blood Witness [Blutzeuge] of the movement.

Hitler also provided the holy scriptures for his new religion and Mein
Kampf, instead of the
Bible, took the place of honor in the homes of thousands of German families.
With a lack of
humor typical of the regime, the Nazis chose this title to replace the
prayer book as the
appropriate wedding gift for young couples.

The parallel between Hitler and the Messiah was made explicit in German
schools. On 16 March
1934 children wrote out the following dictation approved by Hitler's
Ministry of Enlightenment
and Propaganda:

Jesus and Hitler. As Jesus freed men from sin and Hell, so Hitler freed
the German
people from destruction. Jesus and Hitler were persecuted, but while
Jesus was
crucified Hitler was raised to the Chancellorship ... Jesus strove for
Heaven, Hitler
for the German earth.

The League of German Girls developed a new version of the Lord's Prayer
which was a
supplication not only for the Fuhrer but to him as a deity:

Adolf Hitler, you are our great Leader. Thy name makes the enemy
tremble. They
Third Reich comes, thy will alone is law upon earth. Let us hear daily
thy voice and
order us by thy leadership for we will obey to the end even with our
lives. We
praise thee! Heil Hitler!

And smaller children were taught to use this grace before meals:

Fuhrer, my Fuhrer, sent to me from God, protect and maintain me
throughout my
life. Thou who hast saved Germany from deepest need, I thank thee today
for my
daily bread. Remain at my side and never leave me, Fuhrer, my Fuhrer,
my faith,
my light. Heil my Fuhrer!

Hitler's disciples seem to have been less successful in their efforts to
popularize these new words
for the favority Christmas hymn of the German people:

Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm. All is bright.
Only the Chancellor steadfast in fight
Watches o'er Germany by day and by night
Always caring for us.

Silent night! Holy night!
All is calm. All is bright.
Adolf Hitler is Germany's wealth,
Brings us greatness, favor and health.
Oh, give us Germans all power!

In public speech and private soliloquy, and in ways in which he may not have
been aware, Hitler
himself spoke the very words of Christ and the scriptures. In talking to his
Brown Shirts on 30
January 1936 he echoed the words of Jesus to his disciples as recorded in
St. John's Gospel,
saying, "I have come to know thee. Who thou art, thou art through me and all
I am through thee."
He reminded one of his disciples that "I have come to Germany not to bring
peace but a sword."
In public speech in Graz in 1938 he used the words of Jesus as recorded by
Matthew when he
announced that Almighty God had created the Nation, "and what the Lord has
joined together let
not Main set asunder."

He was particularly prone to Biblical quotations when talking to his Hitler
Youth. On 5
September 1934 he told them, "You are flesh of our flesh and blood of our
blood." In 1932 he
advised them either to be "hot or cold, but lukewarm should be damned and
spewed from your
mouth." The phrasing is too close to the New Testament to be coincidental.
The Book of
Revelations (3:15-16) reads:

I know thy words. Thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold
or hot. So
then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew
thee out of
my mouth.

He was fond of calling for a faith that could move mountains, saying on 31
January 1935, "If you
had not had faith, who could have led thee? Faith can remove mountains, can
free also nations."
And in May of the same year, speaking about faith, he reminded the faithful,
"It is the strength
which in the end can remove mountains of resistance!"

During one of his last suppers with his followers when he invited them to
partake of their
Leader's body by eating blood sausage made from his own blood, was he not
saying, "Take, eat:
this is my body which is broken for you..."?

(op ed, remember folks, this is all from a person stuck in their toddler
tantrum as they did not have the love, instead were raised in fear, so this
happens. Drink your Jonestown NNutters Koolaid and all will be well,
instead of making you ill.)

EIGHT RULES FOR SHAME BOUND RELATIONSHIPS

1. CONTROL. To be in control of all behaviour and interaction. If you
fear you're going to loose yourself realize that you have to be in
control. When you meet someone who has to be center stage or the star
know that this is an undeveloped self.

2. PERFECTIONISM. Do it perfectly. Do it right. An attachment to
perfectionism leads one into hypercriticality, comparisions and
competition all of which can leave one isolated, disconnected and cut
off. There are two gears for people in their disease - perfect and f**k
it. Understand that there are whole universe of gears between those two
extremes.

3. BLAME. Blame someone ! If something surprising happens, upsetting
the person, blame someone. If comething unpredictable happens, blame
someone else. It is never your falut. If you hear a lot of blaming you
know that person is stuck in the family and feels powerless and hopeless.
Oops Gingrich is a good recent example of this acting out.

4. DENIAL Deny all feelings of lonliness, vulnerability, sadness,
jealousness, needyness, emptyness, grief, and of course all other
feelings.

5. UNRELIABILITIY Don't expect reliability. Don't expect constancy.
Expect mood changes.

6. INCOMPLETENESS. Don't complete transactions. Stuff disagreements and
don't work them through.

7. DON'T TALK.

8. DISQUALIFICATION Discount your personal experience. When
disrespective, abusive, and compulsive behaviours occur, pretend they
aren't or did not happen. Ignore life, stay in ignorance.

The message of these rules is I'M NOT GOING TO LET ME KNOW ME AND I'M ALSO
NOT GOING TO LET YOU KNOW ME.

YOU CAN BREAK THESE RULES OF SHAME. YOU CAN BE FREE TO LOVE AND CARE.
YOU CAN COMMENT ON YOUR REALITY WITHOUT HAVING TO DISQUALIFY YOURSELF. TO
BREAK THE RULES - LIVE PRINCIPALS.

You know you are a bible thumper when:

10) The words "You are a Bible Thumper" gives you an urge to throw your
bible in the face of the person who said that.

9) You believe the world is flat and the Sun revolves around the Earth.
(Never mind the fact that ancient Egyptians, ancient Chinese, and ancient
Myans KNEW the world was round and revolved around the sun. For those
still in the dark ages, those times were BEFORE the advent of Christianity)

8) When you pay money to the Christian Coalition and the only thing you
get is a T-shirt and corrupt politicians, and then you don't complain!

7) You actually believe everything Newt and Rush says and does! (No
wonder THEY were against healthcare for everyone. If they were the ones
going to the doctors, they would told to lose at least 100 lbs. each!)

6) The only words out of your mouths in any argument with anybody
intelligent (such as a non-Bible thumper) are "bible", "scriptures",
"holier than thou", "God says", and "I'll convert you."

5) You say "I lead my life according to the bible" yet you are
judgmental, hateful of others that don't share your views, and get divorced
and then get remarried (Much likeReagan and Newt)

4) You NEED something like the "Promise Keepers" to tell YOU how to act
"like a man." (What gets me is that you have to PAY someone to tell you how
to act "like a man." Give ME your money and I'll say to you, "You are a
moron" and get on with my life. Much like what so-called Christian Jim
Bakker did!)

3) You actually believe God has an interest in EVERYTHING you say and do.
(If there is a God, I'm sure he/she/it has a lot better things to do than
to take an interest in EVERYTHING you do. Even with all his/her/its
administrative assistants, St. Peter and the like, I'm sure God as better
things to do than to care if you buy the blue shirt or the white shirt!)

2) You want to blame the world's problems on EVERYBODY and anybody else
but it is NEVER your own fault or your own problem. Your ONLY solution is
for THEM to find YOUR God or some gibberish like that.

1) Visions of lions eating a Christian haunt you every day but you are safe
as you know the secret hand shakes and decoder rings to the inner sanctum.

Unfortunately, the behavior of the Church often leaves us open to the
sort of warped accusations we see in this post.

The simple truth is that if the world were to actually live the
"Christian" life style, we would be much better off.

Remember, the Law is summed up in two commandments:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind." (Matt 22:36)

The second: "Love your neighbor as yourself". (Matt 22:39)

If our world were to appley these two commandments. If we were to only
apply the second, the world would be a much better place.

The Toddler Tantrum is never able to do such things.

One can hear it in the story of Cain and Able.

Cain had it in his head, that if he killed Able he would be the fairest one
of all and God would have to love him.

Cain was not a Commandant player, never learned how from his mommie and
daddy, as it takes a village to raise a child.

I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where

the line is drawn and cross it deliberately.

-- George Carlin

The last vote that George Carlin said he cast in a

presidential race was for George McGovern in 1972.

When Richard Nixon, who Carlin described as a member of

a sub-species of humanity, overwhelmingly defeated

McGovern, the comedian gave up on the political

process.

"Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't

complain about: politicians," he explained in a routine

that challenged all the premises of today's half-a-loaf

reformers. "Everybody complains about politicians.

Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think

these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the

sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another

reality. They come from American parents and American

families, American homes, American schools, American

churches, American businesses and American

universities, and they are elected by American

citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is

what we have to offer. It's what our system produces:

Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant

citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant

leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're

just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish,

ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not

the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks

around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public

sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody:

'The Public Sucks. Fuck Hope.'"

Needless to say, George Carlin was not on message for

2008's "change we can believe in" election season.

His was a darker and more serious take on the crisis --

and the change of consciousness, sweeping in scope and

revolutionary in character, that was required to

address it.

Carlin may have stopped voting in 1972. But America's

most consistently savage social commentator for the

best part of a half century, who has died at age 71,

did not give up on politics.

In recent years, in front of audiences that were not

always liberal, he tore apart the neo-conservative

assault on liberty with a clarity rarely evidenced in

the popular culture.

Recalling George Bush's ranting about how the endless

"war on terror" is a battle for freedom, Carlin echoed

James Madison's thinking with a simple question: "Well,

if crime fighters fight crime and fire fighters fight

fire, what do freedom fighters fight? They never

mention that part to us, do they?"

Carlin gave the Christian right -- and the Christian

left -- no quarter. "I'm completely in favor of the

separation of Church and State," Carlin said. "My idea

is that these two institutions screw us up enough on

their own, so both of them together is certain death."

Carlin's take on the Ronald Reagan administration is

the best antidote to the counterfactual romanticization

of the former president -- in which even Barack Obama

has engaged -- remains the single finest assessment of

Reagan and his inner circle. While Carlin did not

complain much about politicians, he made an exception

with regard to the great communicator. Recorded in 1988

at the Park Theater in Union City, New Jersey, and

later released as an album -- What Am I Doing in New

Jersey? -- his savage recollection of the

then-concluding Reagan-Bush years opened with the line:

"I really haven't seen this many people in one place

since they took the group photograph of all the

criminals and lawbreakers in the Ronald Reagan

administration."

But there was no nostalgia for past fights, no resting

on laurels, for this topical comedian. He read the

papers, he followed the news, he asked questions -- the

interviews I did with Carlin over the years were more

conversations than traditional Q & A's -- and he turned

it all into a running commentary that focused not so

much on politics as on the ugly intersection of power

and economics.

No one, not Obama, not Hillary Clinton and certainly

not John McCain, caught the zeitgeist of the vanishing

American dream so well as Carlin. "The owners of this

country know the truth: It's called the American dream

because you have to be asleep to believe it."

Not just aware of but steeped in the traditions of

American populism -- more William Jennings Bryan and

Eugene Victor Debs than Bill Clinton or John Kerry --

Carlin preached against the consolidation of wealth and

power with a fire-and-brimstone rage that betrayed a

deep moral sense that could never quite be cloaked with

four-letter words.

"The real owners are the big wealthy business interests

that control things and make all the important

decisions. Forget the politicians, they're an

irrelevancy. The politicians are put there to give you

the idea that you have freedom of choice. You don't.

You have no choice. You have owners. They own you. They

own everything. They own all the important land. They

own and control the corporations. They've long since

bought and paid for the Senate, the Congress, the

statehouses, the city halls. They've got the judges in

their back pockets. And they own all the big media

companies, so that they control just about all of the

news and information you hear. They've got you by the

balls. They spend billions of dollars every year

lobbying -- lobbying to get what they want. Well, we

know what they want; they want more for themselves and

less for everybody else," ranted the comedian whose

routines were studied in graduate schools.

"But I'll tell you what they don't want," Carlin

continued. "They don't want a population of citizens

capable of critical thinking. They don't want

well-informed, well-educated people capable of critical

thinking. They're not interested in that. That doesn't

help them. That's against their interests. They don't

want people who are smart enough to sit around the

kitchen table and figure out how badly they're getting

fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking

years ago. You know what they want? Obedient workers --

people who are just smart enough to run the machines

and do the paperwork but just dumb enough to passively

accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the

lower pay, the longer hours, reduced benefits, the end

of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears

the minute you go to collect it. And, now, they're

coming for your Social Security. They want your fucking

retirement money. They want it back, so they can give

it to their criminal friends on Wall Street. And you

know something? They'll get it. They'll get it all,

sooner or later, because they own this fucking place.

It's a big club, and you ain't in it. You and I are not

in the big club."

Carlin did not want Americans to get involved with the

system.

He wanted citizens to get angry enough to remake the

system.

Carlin was a leveler of the old, old school. And no one

who had so public a platform -- as the first host of

NBC's "Saturday Night Live," a regular on broadcast and

cable televisions shows, a best-selling author and a

favorite character actor in films (he was even the

narrator of the American version of the children's show

"Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends") -- did more to

challenge accepted wisdom regarding our political

economy.

"Let's suppose we all just materialized on Earth and

there was a bunch of potatoes on the ground, okay?

There's just six of us. Only six humans. We come into a

clearing and there's potatoes on the ground. Now, my

instinct would be, let's everybody get some potatoes.

"Everybody got a potato? Joey didn't get a potato! He's

small, he can't hold as many potatoes. Give Joey some

of your potatoes." "No, these are my potatoes!" That's

the Republicans. "I collected more of them, I got a

bigger pile of potatoes, they're mine. If you want some

of them, you're going to have to give me something."

"But look at Joey, he's only got a couple, they won't

last two days." That's the fuckin' difference! And I'm

more inclined to want to share and even out," he

explained in an interview several years ago with the

Onion.

"I understand the marketplace, but government is

supposed to be here to redress the inequities of the

marketplace," Carlin continued. "That's one of its

functions. Not just to protect the nation, secure our

security and all that shit. And not just to take care

of great problems that are trans-state problems, that

are national, but also to make sure that the

inequalities of the marketplace are redressed by the

acts of government. That's what welfare was about.

There are people who really just don't have the tools,

for whatever reason. Yes, there are lazy people. Yes,

there are slackers. Yes, there's all of that. But there

are also people who can't cut it, for any given reason,

whether it's racism, or an educational opportunity, or

poverty, or a fuckin' horrible home life, or a history

of a horrible family life going back three generations,

or whatever it is. They're crippled and they can't make

it, and they deserve to rest at the commonweal. That's

where my fuckin' passion lies."

Like the radicals of the early years of the 20th

century, whose politics he knew and respected, Carlin

understood that free-speech fights had to come first.

And always pushed the limit -- happily choosing an

offensive word when a more polite one might have

sufficed. By 1972, the year he won the first of four

Grammys for best comedy album, he had developed his

most famous routine: "Seven Words (You Can't Say on

Television)."

That summer, at a huge outdoor show in Milwaukee, he

uttered all seven of them in public -- and was promptly

arrested for disturbing the peace.

When a version of the routine was aired in 1973 on

WBAI, the Pacifica Foundation radio station in New

York,. Pacifica received a citation from the FCC.

Pacifica was ordered to pay a fine for violating

federal regulations prohibiting the broadcast of

"obscene" language. The ensuing free-speech fight made

its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, which rile 5-4

against the First Amendment to the Constitution,

Pacifica and Carlin.

Amusingly, especially to the comedian, a full

transcript of the routine ended up in court documents

associated with the case, F.C.C. v. Pacifica

Foundation, 438 U.S. 726 (1978).

"So my name is a footnote in American legal history,

which I'm perversely kind of proud of," recalled

Carlin. Proud enough that you can find the court

records on the comedian's website: www.georgecarlin.com

There will, of course, be those who dismiss Carlin as a

remnant of the sixties who introduced obscenity to the

public discourse -- just as there will be those who

misread his critique of the American political and

economic systems as little more than verbal nihilism.

In fact, George Carlin was, like the radicals of an

earlier age, an idealist -- and a patriot -- of a

deeper sort than is encountered very often these days.

Carlin explained himself best in one of his last

interviews. "There is a certain amount of righteous

indignation I hold for this culture, because to get

back to the real root of it, to get broader about it,

my opinion that is my species -- and my culture in

America specifically -- have let me down and betrayed

me. I think this species had great, great promise, with

this great upper brain that we have, and I think we

squandered it on God and Mammon. And I think this

culture of ours has such promise, with the promise of

real, true freedom, and then everyone has been shackled

by ownership and possessions and acquisition and status

and power," he said. "And perhaps it's just a human

weakness and an inevitable human story that these

things happen. But there's disillusionment and some

discontent in me about it. I don't consider myself a

cynic. I think of myself as a skeptic and a realist.

But I understand the word 'cynic' has more than one

meaning, and I see how I could be seen as cynical.

'George, you're cynical.' Well, you know, they say if

you scratch a cynic you find a disappointed idealist.

And perhaps the flame still flickers a little, you

know?"

APRIL 28, 2005. Before the various recent flu scandals drop
completely below the radar, I wanted to dig some material out of my archive
and compile it and post it.

This is all about actual deaths from flu in the US every year, as
opposed to the propaganda figures the CDC trots out each flu season.

In press conferences, the CDC routinely floats 36,000 (or more) as
the number of annual flu deaths in the US. But when you go to the CDCÄ…s own
sites, you find a completely different picture.

WeÄ…ll get to that a little later. First, letÄ…s go with a simple
chart from the American Lung Association, a chart I posted in October of
2004. Here is the article I wrote then:

OCTOBER 22, 2004. Ask the American Lung Association. Better yet,
read their own report from August of 2004, titled, "Trends in Pneumonia and
Influenza/Morbidity and Mortality."

This report comes from "Research and Scientific
Affairs/Epidemiology and Statistics Unit." At the bottom of the document,
the source is listed as: National Center for Health Statistics, Report of
Final Mortality Statistics, 1979-2001.

Get ready for some surprises, especially since the CDC keeps
trumpeting flu-death annual numbers as 36,000. Like clockwork. Year in and
year out. 36,000 people in the US die from the flu every year. Killer
disease. Watch out. Get your flu shot. Every autumn. Don't wait. You might
fall over dead in the street.

Here are the total flu deaths from the report. From 1979 to 1995,
the stats were released every two years.

1979: 604
1981: 3,006
1983: 1,431
1985: 2,054
1987: 632
1989: 1,593
1991: 1,137
1993: 1,044
1995: 606
1996: 745
1997: 720
1998: 1,724

down until you come to the chart for flu deaths as a separate category.

Recently, Tommy Thompson, head of US Health and Human services,
stated that 91 percent of the people who die from the flu in the US every
year are 65 and older. So you might engage in a little arithmetic and figure
out how many people under 65 are really dying from the flu each year.

But no matter. The raw all-ages stats are low enough. Quite low
enough. Quite, quite.

Do you see what is going on here?

You can go into my archive and read recent pieces on this subject
and find my argument for those who blithely claim, "Well, harumph, you see,
uh ah, flu often leads to pneumonia and THAT'S why we have to be so careful
about the flu. Deaths from pneumonia are large numbers, harumph, blah blah
blah..."

It's a straight con, folks. The CDC is on a streetcorner with a
little table, and there are shills walking around repeating the 36,000-death
figure while the PR flacks at the table are working the vaccine angle.

The crowd is getting restless. A man shouts, "Where is my flu
shot? We're all going to die!"

Meanwhile, on Capitol Hill, Congress is planning a measure that
will guarantee vaccine manufacturers annual billion-dollar payoffs no matter
how many doses are left over, unused.

JON RAPPOPORT www.nomorefakenews.com

***************************************************************

Now letÄ…s go to an AP story that appeared a few days before I
posted my Oct. 2004 article above:

łThompson [Tommy Thompson, head of Health and Human Services] said
the flu vaccine supply will be reallocated to parts of the country where it
is needed most. Most at risk for severe complications from the flu are
seniors and young children.

"Ä…We are looking all over the regions to find out where there is a
shortage, and we will redeploy the resources to make sure the seniors get
the vaccine first,Ä… he said. He noted that 91 percent of flu deaths last
year were people 65 or older.Ë›

Do the math. If the true death stats from the flu are as stated by
the American Lung Association, how many people under the age of 65 actually
die from the flu in the US every year? Take the year 2000: 1765 deaths.
Using ThompsonÄ…s guideline, subtract the people over 65 who died from the
flu, and you get a remainder of 177 people in the US under the age of 65 who
died from the flu in the year 2000.

Now letÄ…s go to an even earlier post of mineÅ Oct. 11, 2004. This
was, as I recall, a very busy day for me on the site. I had three
researchers contacting me: John Keller, John Cullison, and Martin Maloney.
Keller had broken the whole hoax first at the Cure Zone, and I had picked up
on it there.

UPDATE Oct.11, 2004, 12:25PM, Pacific Time: More from John
Cullison that confirms the Keller report on ACTUAL very low CDC stats for
flu deaths in the US. Cullison writes:

I've found the preliminary data for 2002. It's at
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nvsr/nvsr52/nvsr52_13.pdf. It's in
THIS document that Keller's instructions make sense. Sure enough, on page
16, Influenza (J10-J11) is listed as 753 [deaths], and Pneumonia (J12-J18)
accounts for the other 65,231 cases.

UPDATE: October 11, 2004, 12:30PM, Pacific Time: Here is another
source, Martin Maloney, who has tracked the CDC page address cited by
Keller. He offers his succinct confirmatory finding:

Perhaps this is what you are looking for. Near the bottom of page
31 of that PDF document, you will find, under the heading:

Table 10. Number of deaths from 113 selected causes by age: United
States, 2001 - Con.

//snip//

Influenza and pneumonia (J10-J18)
................................. 62,034
Influenza (J10-J11)
......................................................... 257
Pneumonia (J12-J18)
..................................................... 61,777

These researchers, mind you, were looking at the CDCÄ…s own data on
the CDC sites.

At some point in 2004, another researcher came on board. I
withhold his name, at his request. He found another way to get into CDC site
data, and I was able to track that and confirm the very, very low
death-stats for flu.

There was another hurdle to cross for me. CDC people and doctors
around the US had a fixed idea about the flu. One of those łeverybody knows
this is trueË› ideas. It is: FLU OFTEN LEADS TO PNEUMONIA, AND EVEN THOUGH
THE ACTUAL FLU-DEATH STATS MAY BE LOW, THE DEATHS FROM PNEUMONIA ARE QUITE
HIGH. THEREFORE YOU CAN DISCOUNT THE ACTUAL FLU-DEATH STATS AND GO TO THE
PNEUMONIA STATS.

Is this idea correct?

I began searching through the CDCÄ…s own data.

At the end of October, 2004, I found what I was looking for. Here
is an excerpt from my article on flu and pneumonia. It begins with a
blockbuster about the flu itself, and then gets into the flu-pneumonia
connection:

Å I spotted, this morning, a letter to the editor at
RedFlagsWeekly.com, from Randy L. Powers. He provides a link to a CDC
website, where deaths from flu and flu-plus-other-stuff are broken down for
the year 2000.

You can go to Red Flags, scroll all the way down the center of the
page to the bottom and pick up the link to the letters section, and find
Randy's letter and his live link to the CDC pdf file. [probably not there
anymore]

Or you can type in:
www.cdc.gov/nchs/datawh/statab/unpubd/mortabs/gmwki10.htm

And then you would go to pages 1068-1071.

Either way you do it, you'll come across a bunch of tables that
list flu-death stats for the year 2000. You'll need to look at all the
tables.

I have previously reported that the actual CDC flu-death stat for
the year 2000 was 1765. It's in small print, not in the CDC press releases
that trumpet that ridiculous canned 36,000 figure.

So, working with the 1765 figure, I read through the various
tables. It was easy to find how the CDC came up with that number.
Table 1 lists 60 deaths from flu "with influenza virus identified." Table
five lists 1705 deaths from flu with "virus not identified."
Add up the two totals and you get 1765 deaths from the flu.

But wait a minute. All these stats are based on reports turned in
from the field---which means doctors out there making diagnoses all over the
US. If 1705 deaths from the flu NEVER HAD AN IDENTIFICATION OF A VIRUS THAT
THE CDC CLAIMS ACTUALLY CAUSES THE FLU, WHAT ARE WE LEFT WITH?

We are left with vague eyeball diagnosis of patients. Meaningless.
Zero science.

Therefore, for the year 2000, the CDC flu-death stats that, at
their best, fit any sane conventional assessment come to a total of SIXTY.
Sixty confirmed cases of death from flu in the US.

This is right in line with my operating principle for
investigating lies: the closer you get, the worse it is.

In fact, it would be very nice to know, in those 60 confirmed
cases of death from the flu, exactly HOW the flu virus was IDed.
Was it by actual isolation, or was it by finding antibodies to the flu
virus? If the latter, that is NOT a proper ID. The presence of
antibodies simply signifies the person's immune system has contacted the
virus. Antibodies usually mean the person has successfully warded off the
virus. Anyway...

If you study the other tables, you find more illumination. For
example, in table 6, we see 912 deaths under a category called INFLUENZA
WITH PNEUMONIA, VIRUS NOT IDENTIFIED. Oops. There it is again. The flu virus
(that's what they're talking about) was never IDed. So how can they say this
was really "INFLUENZA-with-pneumonia" as the cause of death? They can't.

If you've been reading my articles on this whole stat business,
you know that I've expressed grave doubt about the 'everybody-knows-science'
that says, "Hell, flu is very dangerous because it often leads to pneumonia.
So even if the actual flu deaths are very low, we have to vaccinate anybody
that moves because, that way, we're preventing pneumonia." Yeah. Sure.

Again, let me repeat, in the year 2000, there were 912 deaths
listed under pneumonia WHERE THE FLU VIRUS WAS NEVER IDENTIFIED. There is no
provable link between those pneumonia cases and flu.

Table 2, in fact, is deaths from flu-with-pneumonia where the flu
virus WAS identified. Even if we assume that in these cases the flu actually
LED to the pneumonia, the total of deaths is: 31.

That's right. 31.

So much for the vaunted and provable 'everybody-knows' link
between flu and pneumonia.

What about the other tables for the year 2000? Table 3 is the
category FLU WITH OTHER RESPIRATORY MANIFESTATIONS,WHERE THE FLU VIRUS WAS
IDENTIFIED. Of course, we don't know what the other respiratory
manifestations were---exceptwe DO know they were never IDed as pneumonia.
Total of deaths from this category? 27.

Table 4 is FLU WITH OTHER MANIFESTATIONS (even more vague) WHERE
THE FLU VIRUS WAS IDENTIFIED. Total deaths in this category? 2.

Table 7 is FLU WITH OTHER RESPIRATORY MANIFESTATIONS WHERE THE FLU
VIRUS WAS NOT IDENTIFIED. In other words, it's a vague plus vague category.
A maybe not-sure could-be flu plus who knows what other respiratory
problems. Total deaths? 767.

And table 8 is FLU WITH OTHER MANIFESTATIONS WHERE THE FLU VIRUS
WAS NOT IDENTIFIED. Even vaguer. Total deaths? 26.

And that's it.

The closer you get, the worse it is. They're winging it. They're
making all sorts of wild assumptions about flu cases without ever having
IDed a flu virus. They're in deep water without a hint of a paddle. They're
basically admitting their press releases trumpeting large flu-death figures
are lies. They're confessing that their "universal" flu-peumonia death link
is sheer unwarranted presumption.

This is a huge story. It may never get out into the mainstream.
But it's huge.

ADDENDUM: I want to offer an educated opinion about a larger
circumference of spin at the CDC. Look at it this way. You've got two
parallel forces at work there in Atlanta. On one track, there are the bean
counters who are assembling the stats and tables I've just gone over. They
just keep their noses close to the computer and they add beans on beans. On
another track, and this is very important, you've got people who are saying,
"Listen, flu IS NOT A REPORTABLE DISEASE IN THE US. There is no rule that
doctors in the field must report every (or any) flu diagnosis they make to
the CDC. Therefore, we know that all sorts of flu cases and, therefore, FLU
DEATHS, are not being funneled to us. So we have to take a different
approach. We have to do STATISTICAL PROJECTIONS. From the data we do have,
or from some restricted studies we do on very small populations, we have to
introduce computer modeling, and we can then make a reasonable estimate of
how many people actually die of the flu every year. THAT'S how we come up
with the 36,000 figure. See? We're not lying. We're just doing the best job
we can."

There is a great deal to learn about how these computer
projections are really done. People tend to glaze over when you bring
this subject up. People assume the math is correct and right and there are
geniuses at work and they know the best way to proceed.

Well, I would point out that, in Rolling Stone, and other
publications, a big scandal was broken about the way HIV-positive stats
were assembled in South Africa, where the predictions tell us that the whole
country will soon die of AIDS. It turned out that researchers were getting
their blood for HIV tests from pregnancy clinics' leftover vials. They were
testing this blood for"antibodies to HIV," and then sending the numbers and
percentages to GENEVA, to the World Health Organization, where the computer
boys took the numbers and did their projections. And that's how the dire
press releases about the future of South Africa were created for medical
reporters from Alaska to the South Pole. One thing was wrong: PREGNANCY
ITSELF CAN CAUSE AN HIV BLOOD TEST TO REGISTER POSITIVE FALSELY. Pregnancy
can cause the blood test to confirm the presence of antibodies to HIV when
those antibodies are not really there. Not there. And that's the blood they
were using to begin with---from pregnant women.

In the matter of flu deaths in the US, the burden of proof lies
with the CDC. They must show, in great detail, that their statistical
projections of 36,000 deaths a year are based on good and reasonable science
all the way down the line. Meanwhile, as I've shown, the only data we have
to work with are, all in all, a great torpedo in the belly of the CDC. And
that data is posted right there on a CDC page.

JON RAPPOPORT www.nomorefakenews.com

Getting the picture? IÄ…ll add a few more comments today, April 28,
2005. There is no reason to trust the CDCÄ…s computer projections on flu
deaths. First, we donÄ…t have info on how they make these projections.
Second, when you go to the small print,as IÄ…ve done above, you see some very
alarming deceptions. You see fast and loose łscience.˛

Further: even the isolation of an actual flu virus in a patient
(as opposed to merely finding antibodies to a flu virus) is not enough to
make a flu diagnosis. Why? Because there is a thing called TITER. Titer is
basically a measure of how many viruses per unit of blood are present in
that patient. You need a whole lot of titer to make a clear diagnosis of
flu. If the patient has just a few viruses floating around in his body,
there is no reason to expect he has the flu. When you look back at those
tables I just went over, you see absolutely no mention of titer.

Also, in those tables, you see no mention of the overall health
status of the łflu patient.˛ Any flu patient. This is key. In many
instances, the flu is not really doing much at all. The patient is ill from
other causes. For instance, he has been beaten down by years of toxic
medical drugs. He has had multiple surgeries and accompanying
immune-suppressing blood transfusions. He has had other illnesses that have
worn down his immune system. He has eaten a terrible diet. He has received
toxic vaccines. These and other factors are much more important to how ill
the patient is than the presence of a flu virus in his body. To say
such an immune-suppressed patient has died of the flu is a complete lie.

IÄ…ll offer one final remark to round off this utterly fantastic
scandal. Attendees in my ongoing paranormal writing workshop will
recall that, in the last session, I described in detail how, as you write
story, as you move in with your lens on a small piece of a space you are
creating, you really know what itÄ…s like to inhabit a landscape of your own
invention. You know how exhilarating that can be. The corollary to that is,
when you are following SOMEONE ELSEÄ…S STORY---a story that is built as a
deception for an ulterior motive---THE CLOSER YOU GET, THE WORSE IT IS.

A word to the wise.

Hey guys ... here is a type out on Ala-Teen Do's and Don'ts

These are ideas in principal to think about, not rules for adherance. You
have your higher power ... and it is certainly not me or this posting.

The alcoholic they are talking about could have a sex addiction, a romance
novel addiction or multiple addictions ... they are really okey, just have
some PTSD issues, are stuck in their toddler tantrum and they are living in
fear .... and if you had a traumatic stress event in your life on drowning
or rape lets say, you would have some fear issues to work on concerning
water or sex activity.

So here starts the suggested do's and don'ts.

DO'S

1. Do remember you are not the only one with an alcoholic or addicted
parent.

2. Do look for help in Alateen, Al-Anon, AA and other local and community
councils on alcoholism.

3. Do learn all you can about alcoholism addictions, a family disease.

4. Do be honest with yourself and others.

5. Do use your talents in ways that interest you.

6. Do develop a sensible attitude about alcoholism and addictions

7. Do remember that not only the alcoholic addict, but all the members of
the family are emotionally involved with the disease.

8. Do find someone other then a relative that you can confide in.

9.Do learn to forgive yourself and others -- you only hurt yourself holding
grudges.

10. Do keep your trust in your Higher Power.

11. Do take your own inventory and admit your faults to one person.

12. Do pass on your knowledge of Alateen to others.

DON'TS

1. Don't cover up for the alcoholic and take on responsibilites other then
your own.

2. Don't try to make the alcoholic addict stop drinking or acting out with
mood alterning behaviours -- you can't. They live in fear and will not do
the work to take the pain at this time of their lives by putting love into
the place they are holding fear and thus live in love. Be patient for the
changes that take time.

3. Don't argue with the active alcoholic or practicing addict.

4. Don't hide or throw out liquor/drugs, more is always available.

5. Don't take it personally when the alcoholic addict blames you for
drinking or using -- any excuse with do.

6. Don't use drugs alcohol or other mood alterning behaviours as a means of
escaping the family situation.

7. Don't condemn, judge, criticize -- remember alcoholism addictions is a
disease exacerbated by traumatic stress has it has history in PTSD.

8. Don't make your parent's problem the number one thing in your life.

9. Don't expect things to get better overnight.

10. Don't expect to change anyone but yourself.

11. Don't allow self-pity to grow inside of you. It will destroy you.

12. Don't over-react to the alcoholic addicts problem.

THE SLOGANS

Live and Let Live .. To get the most out of your life, don't judge or
criticize others or concern yourself with what they do. The operative
emphasis on this slogan is on the first word ... LIVE ... have a good time.

First Things First. First do what's most important - you'll get more done.
It's a great way to organize your time and energy.

Think. Hold back that rash word or thoughtless action. Think about ways to
improve yourself. Think before you make decisions.

Easy Does It. Haste makes waste - of time and effort. Relax - get rid of
tension and rushing.

Let Go And Let God. You can't fix everything that's wrong with the world or
with your family and friends. Let it go ! God can't do His/Her work if
we're standing in the way.

One Day At A Time. Today is the most important day of your life. Use it.
Forget yesterday - and don't worry about what might happen tomorrow.

Listen And Learn. There is something of value to be learned from everyone
you meet. Look for it and use it.

Dear Mrs. Hasselbeck ...

Now that more years have given your more time to grow up and see things for
what they are, and not for as you would have them.

I was wondering, is Rosie right about President Bush ... not 100% to be
sure. Of course not ... but maybe 60% right .... maybe 75% right ... maybe
90% right about Bush being so messed up.

I know you are one of the Grim Pills like Oprah is a Grim Pill ... one of
the rich foxs who are feeling no PAIN ... with the Bush economy ... and the
20% of people love Bush doing this to Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.

I know, you have cash to buy a house .. not a problem for you.

I was thinking of your pool cleaner, maybe the cop on the beat, the nurse in
the hospital ... maybe the teacher in the school your child goes to. They
would need a house the old fashioned way ... not like the rich foxs do it.

So Mrs. Hasselbeck ... you love Bush doing what he is doing ... you have an
excuse for him again ???

Or are you ready to protect your children, as you now see Bush is a danger
to them.

I hope you do see the danger your children are in ... and I hope you
apologize to Rosie ... at least maybe a 50% apology ... or maybe a 75%
apology. Cause she is right and you are wrong about Bush. Rosie loves and
protects your children better then you do I would have to say ... at least
on the face of it ... looking in hindsight.

I rest my case ... if you have been keeping up with current events that is.

But Nancy, in 10 years gas will be $75 per gallon.

You won't care; you'll be able to afford it.

Just like Bush does ... goes with the job title.

Pelosi Energy Policy scares the nasty preditory big money speculators so
they are droping oil prices because of it.

Reported to you fair and balanced and unafraid.

GOProtest not having any effect at all ... Chenny Secret Oil Policy is

But Bush wants to drill.

We have oil underneath for 30 years, while we work on alternate
sources.

GOP and Dems have come up with a bi-partisan bill to that effec.

Nancy wants to sue OPEC.

Which causes the sheiks to laugh their asses off.

>Pelosi Energy Policy scares the nasty preditory big money speculators so

Pelosi has no policy.

Price drops can be attributed to less usage.

But they're temporary.

And Nancy is the one who's afraid ... of the green-wacko set.

>Reported to you fair and balanced and unafraid.

And incorrect.

Having Madame Pelosi out of Washington may actually be a good thing.

She can't do as much harm to the country when she's jet-setting around
the world pushing her new book, or relaxing around her $1 million
dollar swim pool with her six illegal alien pool boyz.

So stay away, bytch.

Women are starting to figure out what a toddler tantrum in men look like
when they do not grow up ... and they are not liking it at all.

See Bush for what a toddler tantrum looks like in a big person who has to
lie like they are in the cookie jar.

Big People tell on themselves, put their cards on the table, be honest.

Toddler tantrums can not be talked to, they dont want to learn, they are so
angry inside they are diaper poop wall wipers.

People like you ... angry angry angry DADDY DEAREST giving warm regards with
cold steel. Obama is in his toddler tantrum, so is McCain, you will get it
after awhile, the learning curve picks up in time.

All hail Moses and his Serpent Staff.

I want to get rid of Lynn Woolsey ... why be a Democrat ... why have them in
power ... and why have the GOPerps in power if all they do is kill our
troops for nothing. Every day they die ... for nothing. Nothing to do with
national security, we are under threat, they gonna attack us we need
preemptive strike like they were Georgia with Putin.

Russia is our FRIEND ... Bush looked Putin in the eye ... sooooo why is our
friend out to destroy a pipeline that sells oil to the European Continent
raising the price of oil every where.

What does Oil man Putin and Oil Man Bush have to say about that ... whoops.
Mission accomplished.

Go drive LPG/LNG cars ... they are cheaper, last longer, less polluting, and
can make them plug in electric hybrids as well.

Just tool them up in 10 days ... on the show room floor in a month.

Easy to do Mr and Mrs America ... you can get a propane car right now ...
