COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) - The investigation into The Ohio
State University head football coach Urban Meyer has concluded,
but what's next for Ohio State football?

Meyer has been placed on paid administrative leave since Aug. 1.

The Board of Trustees appointed an independent group to conduct
an investigation on whether Meyer took appropriate action
following the knowledge of alleged abuse by one of his
assistants.

The group wrapped up its investigation Sunday. In an informal
meeting Monday, Ohio State said the investigative team will
verbally share its findings.

The board is expected to Wednesday at 9 a.m. to discuss the
findings.

After deliberations, Michael Drake, president of the university,
should announce his decision regarding the future of Meyer.

I expect him to be returned to active coaching status.

Failue to report appears to be a matter of degree - if he reported did
he report enough. That's a judgement call, not a legitimate excuse for
firing a coach for cause and escaping the buyout without law suits
costing even more.

I guess it's sorta like the priests in PA - only a few apples are bad.
