I use Painter 3.1 constantly to edit rendered images. I bought Detailer
over a year ago because it was bundled w/RayDream and I was very
curious. RayDream does better render than expected, but the tools/render
isn't up to Strata.
Now there is an opportunity to upgrade to Painter 5.0 and get a bundled
VTC training CD for $100, or upgrade to Painter 3d for $150, no training
CD.
Ignorance and reality both stare me in the face....
What do you recommend?

Brian,
Go with Painter 3D if most of your work is going to be 3D oriented and
go with Painter 5 if most of your work is going to be 2D oriented. Hope
this helps. Good luck.
