I want to create a 3D file from a long list of 3D locations (I will
create the list). I want each point to become a small sphere, and I
want to be able to render the result from any angle (with material
specifications, lighting, background etc.) and hopefully make a video
of moving around the resulting object, and export the whole thing in a
format which other 3D software can read. The list of locations would
ideally be very long, ie. hundreds of thousands of locations or even
millions, and I want to find an effective and efficient way of doing
this.
I currently have Bryce5.5 which I've used a bit, and Maya which I've
hardly used. I don't think Bryce is suitable for this function because
it would be very time-consuming to manually add the spheres, and then
I couldn't export the result in a format anything else could read.
Could Maya do what I want, efficiently (if so, how?)? If not, what
software could do this effectively and efficiently?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
