Awww....thank you Rev, and thank all of you for the good wishes here and in
private, you were very kind. Haha, "Your gift is at www.squat.com"...took me a
while to figure that out.

I had a lovely time...they tell me. ;-) I danced with cowboys on sawdust strewn
floors Friday night, at my favorite honky-tonk, good live music with steel
guitars. I played Garth Brooks' "I Got Friends In Low Places" on the jukebox
several times...until they asked me not to. Ate steak and eggs in an all night
steakhouse at 3AM...laughing at my drunken friends...one of whom kept calling
us "the Donner party" to the hostess...asking her where the rest of us were.
She would ask over the loudspeaker.[1]

Then, I changed from my Levi's into a little black dress to celebrate in Dallas
last night, with my friend and her husband. They took me to a vay posh
place...The Samba something...where we ate Paella and drank Margarita
Sangria--a delicious drink I'd never had before, with white tequila, pineapple
juice, orange liqueur, orange juice, pineapple spears and orange slices, etc.

Anyway, the Sangria was good enough to make me think I could do those Latin
dances....thank gawd I'll never see those people again. I cringe with
embarrassment remembering how I clapped my hands over my head and stomped my
feet like I was a gypsy. My dancing partner started it, honest.

Anyway, as soon as I could get my head into the car--3PM today--I drove home.
Roz and hubby were starting with the iced vodka and fish eggies, really making
my stommie lurch...had to get out of there.

[1] The Donners were among a group of pioneers in 1840s who got lost trying to
find Calif...famous for eating their dead to survive a terrible winter.

Already had plenty, thankee kindly. I heard latin music in my dreams, so off I
go first thing this morning to buy CDs--I know, I could have burned some if I
had blank ones and knew what I was doing--but I don't even know who I'm looking
for anyway.

I accosted a nice Spanish lady in the Latin section and asked her help...told
her I loved dancing to Santana's "Oye Como Va"....she helped me choose a couple
of "various artists".

I also bought a Latin Dance instructional video. This is FUN girl, who needs to
exercize when you can do this? I'm gettin' my Salsa groove on so I won't feel
foolish on a dance floor. ;-)

What's new with you?

Snot much here. Just had a kidlet weekend--movies, mall, getting
silly, the usual. Worked today, but not complaining. (Double pay,
innit?!) Just landed my first wholesale account for the soap for a
neat shop in an old brewery complex here in town. It's quite an
upscale mall thingy, which normally would be a turn-off for me, but I
do like this shop--most of the stuff is handmade by local artisans and
has a strong Native American presence, and the owner is very laid back
and easy to work with. I'm excited!

What about the rest of ya's, whassup?

Booger! Our full-timers get double time and a half if they work the
holiday...they get time and a half on the holiday and then another day
off with pay to boot. Even if they don't work the holiday they get
paid straight time for it. Us part-timers just get the double time if

Yew did indeed...that stuff is almost gone! I had one lady buy a bar
and then when she came back wanting more, she told me that the soap
made black lather too! I hadn't known that, as my kids had tested it,
and they didn't mention anything...I was rather mortified. She said
not to worry as it smelled so nice she wanted more anyway. LOL I am

Funny you should ask.... :^) I had been planning on posting a link to
pictures/prices of my soap in case anyone was interested in ordering
for themselves or for holiday gift-giving. Several online friends from
other nudesgroups have been ordering right along and wanted somewhere
that they could see what I've got available at any given time and

I made sure I worked hard for my 4 hour shift that day. Not that I
ever slack off but I felt I needed to really push to make that much
per hour. In 4 hours I bathed 1 person (which really takes 30 minutes)
and I fed 3 people dinner and put 8 people to bed. Then before I left
I took all the laundry and garbage from our wing (which I often do
anyways) and refiled the cart with supplies. So I think I did my
share.

Do you have care-aides or nurses aides at your hospital Spuddie or are
the wards strictly staffed with RNs?

Hi, there, Cheryl. I have to tell you that I have just spent about the

absolutely *wonderful*. The descriptions and pictures are so evocative
I could almost smell the beautiful aromas of the soaps - now all I

Oh man!
Why do I live so far away?? It is very unfair! I want all of these soaps!

Booo hooo hoo, sniffle!

Di

BTW, Spuddie, just a really minor thing, but your second page - the one with
all the links to the soap pictures - doesn't have a background colour set.

How lovely! I can almost smell them. Really excellent photography.

My elderly auntie used to make lye soap, had everyone saving lard for her. I
was afraid of it and while visiting her, asked if she had any other soap. She
said, "You dumbbell, all the lye is gone from it!" <G>

Uhm...I had to run him off. He couldn't keep up with me...in drinking that is.
<G> Well, that and he tried to kick my door down.

Only thing going on at the mo is a shy batchelor neighbor who invites me
fishing on his really lovely boat. We sit quietly and fish, drinking Salty
Dogs... I do prefer someone who talks, though.

He did spend one afternoon digging a dead tree stump out of my front
yard...with his shirt off. Ain't that sexy? ;-)

Thanks, jammy...just let me know, when or if you decide what you want.
Today I've been playing a bit doing a few 'molded' soaps...not sure
how I'll like them, but we shall see how it turns out.

We don't really have 'wards' per se...most of our rooms are private
rooms with a few doubles on the one end that we only double up when we
have to. The floor I work on is staffed primarily with RN's, because
there's so much stuff that only RN's can do on the cardiac
floor--various intravenous medication drips and certain
procedures--that it's just easier to do primary care on our unit. We
do have a couple of LPNs (do you have those in Canada?) who work with
us (usually one on days and afternoon shift), but no nurses' aides.
The general med/surg areas of the hospital do utilize more LPNs and
nurses' aides though, as well as 'nurse techs' who are RN nursing
students who have at least completed their second year--they work
weekends and evenings mostly, when they aren't in school, and then
full time all summer long. They're like nurses' aides except they can
do some treatments and procedures aides can't, and they can do more
documentation.

Now, I know there are some folks who make soap down there in
Aussieland...keep yer eyes peeled...you'll find some!

None of them do really...all the main pages are just the default
background, which is white...tryin' to keep it vay simple. But I did
see what you meant, matter of tick mark here and there... :)

I have gotten a ton of comments on the photography which is really
weird since I used an el-cheapo HP 1-megapixel digital camera. Taking
pictures in daylight does make them better though, I must admit.

LOL! Yeah, the number one question I get asked is, "Do you use lye to
make your soap?" Like it's still sitting there waiting to bite 'em on
the bum. :) Anyway, you can't make soap without sodium hydroxide
(lye)...somewhere in the process...unless you use potassium hydroxide,
which is used to make liquid soaps.
