Since this is a foodie group I think I can share this:

"(CNN) A French scientist has apologized after
tweeting a photo of a slice of chorizo, claiming
it was an image of a distant star taken by the
James Webb Space Telescope.

Étienne Klein, a celebrated physicist and director
at France's Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy
Commission, shared the image of the spicy Spanish
sausage on Twitter last week, praising the "level
of detail" it provided. ...."

Cracked me up!

v - very excited about the James Webb Telescope

Yeah. Made oi larf, that.

I think it might have been the same instituion not too far from Paris
where I was invited to a Puevfgznf lunchtime reception. I was
introduced to everyone in the room individually, then my host said
"Did you know that you have just shaken hands with three Nobel Prize
winners?" Blimey. There was also a large model of the JWT hanging from
the ceiling, to show how it would all fold up to fit in the six foot
wide Ariane rocket. Impressive stuff. That's where I learned about
Lagrange points (q.v.)
