Trojans etc can be removed -- without taking the piss, if you have an old
machine install it on that, clean up, copy it back to the main one.
Please do not attempt this if you do not know what you are doing.
I have a strange atitude to viri etc, on the whole they do not damage your
system, i believe the paranoia is fed and created by the AV companies, in
reality what can it do if it is denied contact to the electronic world? -
and if you are daft enough to keep financial info on a machine that uses the
web, enough said as you probably reply to fake emails aswell.
viri and trojans are like weeds, flowers in the wrong place, all software
has call home/someone, aka trojan etc, so you actually trust microsoft or
any other house? up to you.
seperate machine for net use, similar for work, never the twain should meet
