Good morning everyone! :D It's cloudy and rainy here, but it's a good
morning anyway.

Jenn was thinking very hard :

G'day Jenn.
It's overcast and chilly here this morning.
I've started watering my lawn, and am getting new growth under all the
dead brown stuff. I'll have to cut it soon, but don't want to do it
just yet. We still have some freezing cold weather coming, so cutting
my grass would just expose the new growth to the icy weather, and kill
the new growth.
We might be getting our bathroom sinks and counters replaced with black
granite soon. Our ex SIL is a general contractor, so we get lots of new
construction free. :')
Anything new at your ponderosa? Did the truck make a stop there yet? :D

Jenn submitted this idea :
They are all ripe now, so I am having a feast on avocados, tomato
slices, cucumber slices and zesty Italian dressing. YUM!
They are wrinkled at the stem, but they are not going bad. Open them up
and you'll see the flesh is nice and blemish free.
I'll be going for more in a couple of weeks.... lol

Don't *have* any bad days - don't let them into your life! :-)

Howdy Dave!
Do you get avocados there in GB?

Of course! Do you think we are a third world country?!!!

I just *LOVE* Avocados - especially with prawns and sea-food sauce! ;-)

Very 1970's!

Still nice, though! :-)

OK, where do they come from?

Avocados are commercially valuable and are cultivated in tropical and
Mediterranean climates throughout the world. They have a green-skinned,
pear-shaped fleshy body that ripens after harvesting. Trees are
partially self-pollinating and often are propagated through grafting to
maintain a predictable quality and quantity of the fruit.

I know this to be true - it says so here!

Cool!
We are in the best climate for growing avocados, Dave. Between
Escondido CA and Corona CA there are hundreds of thousands of acres of
Avocado trees. The groves are on hillside slopes so the land can drain
naturally. I'll take so photo's of the Avocado groves around here and
post them.
What do they cost there? We pay $2.00 each sometimes, but most of the
time they are $1.00 each for the big ones, and $.50 for the small ones.
