I've been reading this group daily since before AOL decided to add
usenet services to it's arsenal, forever ruining these groups. I've
seen a lot of changes, affected this group myself, been through every
kind of hacker war or flame war that one may imagine, and now, for the
first time in a very long time, I see young minds here eager to learn,
rather than show-off.
I'm going to post a few texts and try to help with some information
and experience. I'll start small. I hope and pray that the hate from
ten years ago has died. I know some of the haters are still around,
and I'm counting on the fact that they are ten years more experienced
now, and can see the truth for what it is, and not bring up ten year
old grudges which never should have been given life to begin with.
I've been reading this group every day for a very long time, and it
was HANS who really made me change my mind about this group. This
group ISN'T hopeless, and you all AREN'T a bunch of posers and losers.
Thank you Hans for making me see that. I will try this again.

I'd use my old win95, but some of my software won't run on it. I'll
use 98 as long as I can get away with it.
If you ever want to see a truly fast computer, build the best one you
can and throw win98 or an older ?n*x on it and see what fast really
looks like. Less virus problems too. Don't knock it 'til you've tried
it.

Lol, actually you both got it wrong.
it was "Archangel r00lz", we actually made up a bunch of stickers one
time and handed them out at DefCon. Dark Tangent told us that people
were giving him shit saying that they were adding to the "drug scene",
but by then we had them all passed out so it was too late to do
anything.
(a few people were using them to do speed). Pretty funny.
