Hello, Running Alt-f 1.0 on a DNS-323 a1. I started having issues creating a nfs share. It would add extra characters where there is a space in a folder name. I the tried to install the packages and get the messages

Installing Alt-F in /mnt/sda2 Installing ipkg Trying sourceforge.net... fail, no Packages file. Trying sourceforge.net... fail, no Packages file. Trying sourceforge.net... fail, no Packages file. You don't seem to have enabled feeds, a name server configured, or a working internet connection, and no /tmp/ipkg_*_arm.ipk file found. Exiting

So following another post with this problem I used SSH to login and tried to ping google.com and get the error message
[root@dns323]# ping: can't create raw socket: Address family not supported by pr
otocol

Any ideas?
Thanks
Rob

For 2nd question , ipv6 is not enabled on your settings. Try ping -4 google.com and/or nslookup google.com.
For 1st question, the answer depends on the result of 2nd question.

Best
Hubert

Thanks for the reply.  I tried the ping command you suggested and it worked. Yesterday  I found a dns-323 C1 at a thrift store. I installed alt-f ver 1.0 on it this morning. I get the same results as my a1 version. Ping works on both with the ipv4 command. But the package installer doesn't work on either one.

Just remembered something, I think that to make it work in my DNS320, I had to modify the download sites replacing https by http.
Not sure but worth a try.

I found a post from october with the cant install packages issue.
Ran   wget --no-check-certificate https://curl.se/ca/cacert.pem -O /etc/ssl/ca-bundle.crt

Packages installed properly.
