Hi, I've just installed Alt-F on my old dns323 and lots of stuff here looks all new to me.
I hit a strange bug (i'm not sure) on windows where when i access the NAS the user authentication did not appear after i changed the Label in File System Maintenance (i think).
Now my NAS doesn't prompt me any security user & password box at all.

I would really like to learn how can i get the correct setup for this as i am co-living with other people whom i do not wish to share my NAS contents.
Forgot to add i'm using a brand new 3TB hard drive for the initial setup, empty until Alt-f setup.
Thank you very much.

Have you read the wiki.

Alt-F has great security, including encryption of data.
