Hi, I was wondering if the Alt-F software is compatible with the DNS-320 revB2 model? The last official firmware I got is 1.02 :-( .
I have a 10Mbps network speed and it doesn't give me an option to upgrade. I installed it a week ago and I could have sworn when I first installed it it was going faster.
Can anyone give me any advice on the firmware and speed issue? Thanks in advance.

my DLink is a DNS323 rev B2 currently running Alt F  rev 1.00 for several years, with 1 hard drive replacement and rebuild of the RAID array during that time and I see no reason why alt F wouldn't work ok on the DNS320

I changed to Alt F because of 2TB size limitation and I now have 2 8TB disks installed and it works well

I also have another DNS323, still running the DLink firmware v1.10

Not being familiar with linux, Alf F has been a challenge for me and if you are the same I would stick with the DNS firmware unless you need the larger HDD capacity.   You do get excellent assistance and advice here though if you use Alt-F

Both my DNS323s need patience and despite my 1000Mbps network are slow with transfers.    Also some years ago (DLink Firmware) I used Scan Disk in the Disk Tools menu when my array was degraded and then found I could no longer access my data.     About a month later I was about to take it to a friend who specialised in data recovery and I gave it one last try before disconnecting the leads and to my suprise it was all ok again -  It had taken several weeks for the scan disk to fix whatever was wrong with the array.     I have had several drive replacements in both over the years with no great hassle, just patience during the rebuild process.

As my 1st DNS-323 has now being running for over 15 years (and the plastic parts of the case are breaking down) I'm looking at my options for a replacement NAS.     I have a much newer Synology Diskstation which has already failed so I wont be going with that brand again.

Kind regards,
Graham
