Hi,

I'm running Alt-F on my DNS-323. Since my left HD showed errors, I ejected it and did load the new (via the web interface). However, since that the left bay/disk is not shown in the web interface. The logs do not report errors.

What do I need to do to get bay and the new disk back?

Brgds,
Stefan

What hard rev level do you have?
On my B1 board I never saw such behaviour.
Could it be that the errors was not on the disk, but on the disk interface (box hardware)? Can you try the disk with errors on another computer (or in the other box bay?)

Anyhow I need the kernel log (dmesg) shortly after a reboot or power up.

Have you tried removing the right working drive from its bay and then plug it into the left bay?
First power down the box before you preform this.

then after you power up the box agian, can you again give the dmesg?

I did format it externaly and added it again. Now it is available.

However, no autosync with the first disk.

Thanks,

Stefan
