NFS & Netatalk with mac os 10.8.3 ?

Hello everyone,

First, thank you for this project. I spent 3 days trying to run what I wanted with fun_plug or squeeze then I discovered alt-F ... what a relief :)

However, there is file sharing remains capricious.

Context: dns-323 rev b1 flashed with RC3 - mac os 10.8.3 ...

samba does not suit me so much (but at least it works)

nfs is strange. My uid are the same, but the permissions are not the same ...

afp / netatalk does not work, mac os does it not connect, the server is unavailable or not supported version.

Despite my research, I can not find a recent article on this subject, many speak of mac os 10.7 ... my test is unsuccessful.

Has anyone managed to run nfs or netatalk properly with mac os 10.8 ?

Have you used google to search for netatalk-3.0.2 and mac os 10.8? Are there negative reports? And what about netatalk-3.0.3, the last netatalk release?

I had just seen articles with no author encounters a problem ... In desperation I posted this message.

I did so much research and read so many things that I can confuse me ...

I do not really know where the problem was, but I managed to connect tonight through afp.

On osx, I clean my system and remove MacFUSE. I reinstalled the combo update.

On the NAS I removed netatalk and avahi (and files lying around) and reinstalled properly.

test with the basic configuration of netatalk connection with guest, ok, very fast.

To identify me, I must necessarily choose the Strongest encryption password, the connection time is long, I limit myself to two shares.

TimeMachine works.

I'll let me a little time and I'm sure I could set up my nfs automount soon.

Does this has to be done for all recent OSX versions?

If yes, strong encryption should be the default in the webUI. I need other users feedback.

I'm sure you will be able to setup NFS. When you succeed, can you outline the procedure, so others will benefice?
