Hi,

Are there any hints how to configure Windows 8.1 or DNS 323 to enable Access from Windows 8 or Windows 8.1

From Windows 7 everything is working OK, I can see shares and put files on it, but when I want to do the same thing from Windows 8 I cannot access shares.

I tried disabling Windows firewall, enabling all on network profiles like sharing, 40 -56 bit encryption on win8.1, also I used this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2686098/en-us to disable security signing, I've enable LM and NTLM in local security policy.

I'm accessing shares like this \\192.168.1.3\volume_1

I will appreciate any help.

Regards,

Goran

I can't help, as I don't have windows 8 (nor even 7)

A fast Google search on "samba windows 8" showed some results, e.g.

Remember that Alt-F is using an "old" samba, Version 3.5.21

If you find the right solution, please report-back.
