Hey i just have a quick question. I'm looking to port forward the Alt-F interface so i can access it from outside my home network. I''ve found under Services > System > Syslog (configure) there's an option for Remote system IP:port. Do i fill in here the local ip i have set for the NAS, and the port i want to use for it? I'm hesitant to just go ahead and do it and see what happens, lest i screw something up and not be able to access the box at all.

Thanks for everything!

No, that is only to provide the system log to other computer, so it can be read there.

What you want is Services->Network->inetd->Configure->http->Configure, Remote administration (or similar)

Of course you still have to do the port forward stuff in your modem/router
