hi

I have Alt-F 0.1RC3 flashed, and installed ffp-0.7 and have the twonky-dns323-7.2.1 extracted and some config done. I am familiar with twonky on dns323 with ffp plugin.

My case: when i start twonky this way
$sh /ffp/start/twonky.sh start
the server starts and shows:
3657 root     /ffp/opt/twonky/twonkystarter -logfile /ffp/opt/twonky/data/TwonkyServer-log.txt -appdata /ffp/opt/twonky/data/
 3658 root     [twonkyserver]
 3662 root     grep twonky
but a 404 for the IP:9000 webpage for twonky and the log file above does not exists or even created. twonky listens or should to port 9000 but not the case if i do a
$netstat -nat | grep LISTEN

My question(s):
1- did anyone managed to run twonky sever with alt-f flashed.
2- can it be something preventing port opening "listening"?
3- the start script does a
route add -net 224.0.0.0 netmask 240.0.0.0 dev egiga0
running the above line alone gives " route: SIOCADDRT: No such device "
can it be alt-f needs a change to allow a device, sorry i have no much experience with networking

any hints / directions are mostly welcome : D

Hi Joao

I have searched this forum (Alt-f) and i can find very little about the installation of twonky on a dns-323 with Alt-F.  I had the same issue above, but it seemed as though Alt-F renamed the ethernet port from egiga0 (the dlink name) to eth0 (Alt-fname).  Changing this seemed to help me get past this error, though i still have not gotten twonky up and running.

Can't be done, you have not searched well enough

Programs not compiled for Alt-F will not work under Alt-F! As a rule of thumb, this happens if you see '.com' at the download site URL and downloads offered for several systems, such as MS-Win, Mac, Sinology, etc, etc. If downloads appears for the DNS-xxx, they will only work under the D-Link firmware.
