Hi guys,

Please help me!

Because of MS' decision of stopping SMB1 I decided to shift my D-Link fw enabled DNS-323 with RAID to the Alt-F firmware.
After the upgrade, no alterations have been made to the RAID configuration and the existing files, because I wanted to keep them and I didn't have any other place to keep it.

I've installed Alt-F about a week ago. The upgrade and maintenance check went well, and I've configured a user and the workgroup name used in my network.

Problem is, I can only access the config page, and when I use Windows 10 to look for my NAS it doesn't show up, and I've also tried writing the NAS name but I don't make any progress.

I have checked the SMB2 box and I have the SMB1 box unchecked.

Appreciate any help I can get on this issue!

BR,
Tommy

Hi,

I have the exact same problem but with a DNS-321.  Were you able to solve your problem?

I have enabled SMB1 on DNS-321 and on Windows 10 and can now "see" the box in "Network", but I still cannot access the files.

I am using Alt-F and I can access network shares on my NAS using Windows 10. You need to enable SMB2 in the Alt-F web config (Services... > Network > SMB > Configure > Enable SMB2)

As far as I can remember I'm just using the default "Samba Small" package that is installed by default with Alt-F, version 3.6.25.
