Would it be possible to get a new dropbear package? Preferrably, compiled to allow -c none?

The reason I'm asking is that currently, my remote rsync is slow as molasses and my DNS-323's spend 95% of their time on dropbear. It's been going for well over two weeks, and is about 20% done.

Given that the units are right next to each other on a private LAN, I have no need to encrypt the data transfer - if I can get my units to spend most of those 95% on more valuable things, there's a chance this might actually finish before summer is over :-)

Can you install the openssh package and see if it allows that? It might require some tuning, don't remember the details, but I think to remember that ssh is going to replace dropbear.

Then please report back.

[Edited: well, looks like openssh is not compiled to accept the 'none' cipher. However I tried with 'arcfour', and got 4.5MBs, a 3x improvement over the usual 1.5MBs.]
