I have installed Alt-f with RC3 after been using my dns-323 with 1.08 for a while. I understand the logic is different but I can see my created folder "Volume_1" with the network option in Nautilus. But it is impossible to drag and drop any files. I have changed the permissions for the folder so it should RW but I get the message just read. I also enabled Samba according to the tutorial, but it seems to be a small thing I overlooked to make the folders usable in the network??
But I need help)))))))))

Can you do that when using the Public RW folder?
You should. Copy its permissions to the folder of your choice.
Have you created a user?

I have changed the permissions for the folder

To what values? Where is the folder? Is it a mountpoint? (i.e., directly under /mnt ?)

Yes I created a user. I can access the folder by going to the folder through samba share. But I am unable to create a folder inside RW using nautilus. When I set up Transmission (bittorent client) to download to this folder RW is starts for a few seconds and then says it is illegal.  When I try to change etc/fstab like I did in firmware 1.08 and get the folders automounted I do not seem to be able to find any combination that works and mount the share in nautilus in the right way..

Ah, that must be the issue. When doing that the ownership and permissions of the folder must have changed, belonging to group BP and user transmission (not sure).
For Transmission you should create a folder, probably sibling of the Public folders.

Restore the ownership and permissions of the Public RW folder to the original values using Setup->Folders (I have recently posted a screen shot of the default values)

fstab is not persistent across reboots, and filesystems are by default already auto-mounted.
If you use the command line it is supposed that you know what you are doing and you are on your own ;-)

Ok I will try about the folders, But when I talked about etc/fstab I meant the etc/fstab in Crunchbang to make the folders automount. It worked perfectly in 1.08 with Volume_1 as name after the ipadress.....
