Hello everyone!
I have a D'link 320L with ALT-F 1.0 and two HDD in.
I would like to replace both the HDD with different ones (same capacity but SSD 2.5)
Any issue if I take out each HDD and clone-duplicate it to the new SSD with a Linux machine?
Obviously, NAS off, duplicate both HDD->SSD and then put them in the correct slot.

Thanks in advantage

Hi,
I too have a 320L running ALT-F, and upgraded one of my disks a while ago (to 8tb, before prices went crazy!), I shutdown the 320, removed BOTH HDD's, fitted the new 8tb to it's permanent slot, booted the 320 and formatted the 8tb. another shutdown, then re-fitted the HDD that WAS being replaced and copied the content using the ALT-F 'Setup/Folders/CopyContent' options. When finished I shutdown again, and refitted the drive NOT being upgraded yet.
While slower than doing it under a Linux desktop, it ensures that the filesystem structure is exactly what ALT-F is happy with. Perfect and reliable operation since.

Don't think you will gain performance, the processor is slow and its network speed is limited
