Good day!

I have a DNS-321 and already installed a 2TB hard drive there long ago, but it is full now and I bought a 3TB hard drive without knowing that it doesn't support 3TB hard drives because it doesn't have a GPT format like it always error and restart my NAS. So I watched on YouTube on how to do that and saw Dylan Durdle using it to utilize his 3TB + 2TB HDD combination. You can see it on the attached file.

So I visited the download link to Sourceforge and left me wondering what to download there to install this ALT-F, and how can I install it when I'm done downloading it? Should I just go to firmware and upload the downloaded file and good to go?

Here's the link for the video I watched: Click here for the link

Thanks!

Have you read the README file?  Firmware upgrading instructions section? https://sourceforge.net/projects/alt-f/files/Releases/1.0/

Yes,

"Look at the box bottom attached label to see its hardware revision
level, then select the appropriate Alt-F-1.0 bin file and
use the normal firmware upgrade method to flash it."

The attached screenshot shows that  swap is not existent, thus the top displayed error. Using the Disk Wizard avoids that.

Replying to the subject "Can I use this to RAID 0 my 2TB + 3TB HDD?":
No, you can't convert your existing "standard" filesystem with your existing data on your existing disk to a RAID0. You can create a *new* RAID0 with the 2TB and 3TB disks, but your data on the 2TB disk will be lost.
Notice also that using RAID0 provides no redundancy, if one disk fails all your data will be lost.

Thanks!
