I use the top menu and disable the side menu, to be sure.

Replace index.html in /usr/www/

Copy folder img  to /usr/www/

Replace dull.css in  /usr/www/scripts/dull/dull.css

On start user script

cp /mnt/sda2/home/RW/dull.css /usr/www/scripts/dull/dull.css

cp -R /mnt/sda2/home/RW/img /usr/www/img

Alt-F has (preliminary) support for multiple coexisting themes. selectable from the webUI.

Each file with extension 'thm' will be listed under System->Utilities->Theme. The first commented line will be the theme name, and following lines contains path/filenames to include, overriding or complementing previous definitions.

The demo.thm illustrates that, including the classic theme files (which is really not needed) and and lastly a theme specific file that overrides a previous definition.

So I would suggest that your theme should contains a mytheme.thm and a subfolder named e.g. mytheme with all the theme files. You can then distribute a single zip or gz file to be extracted under /usr/www/scripts, and the "installation" is done and the theme installed and ready to be used.

mytheme.thm would then contain, in the correct order, the theme name and any other files to include.

You don't need to include or change any of the existing files if you don't need them, but if you do include any of them do it first and include your definitions later, complementing or overriding only the needed parts.

No changes to existing files should be done. That can be changed in the firmware if really needed, but the idea is to always have available the unchanged classic theme.

That is a bug, the system uses default.thm as a link to the in use theme:

[root@dns-323]# ls -l /usr/www/scripts/default.thm

lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root             8 Jan 15 18:03 default.thm -> demo.thm

[root@dns-323]# ls -l /usr/www/scripts/default.thm

lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root             8 Jan 15 18:28 default.thm -> dull.thm

As  /usr/www/scripts/default.thm is not saved in "settings", it will return to dull.thm, as by default /usr/www/scripts is in volatile memory, not disk.

But, if you install any Alt-F package, and do

aufs.sh -n

mkdir -p /Alt-F/usr/www/scripts

aufs.sh -r

then anything you put in /usr/www/scripts will be saved on disk:

[root@dns-323]# touch /usr/www/scripts/foo.thm # notice that no /Alt-F was used here!

[root@dns-323]# ls -l /Alt-F/usr/www/scripts/ # which on my system is on disk, on /mnt/sda4/Alt-F

total 2

So installing a theme requires something more than just unpacking it in the right place, so I might add a Download button to the webUI and perform the required steps, download and unpack the file. Please fill in a feature request.

OK, so I added the capability for the next release to upload user contributed themes.

Users are warned that "Uploading themes can make the webUI susceptible to exploitations and attacks."

The rules to create the theme are: a zip file containing a <theme>.thm and a folder named <theme> with support files. Your last black.zip complies.

Installed themes can also be deleted.

Here is your installed theme and webUI.

Is it possible to make a fix to make the uploads theme ( utilities -> fixes)?  Or is it possible only in the new release?

Hello Lx.

I like the theme you have created.

I have tried it on the latest firmware 0.1RC6 on a D-Link DNS-323-B1and noticed a few flaws I'd like to show you.

As you can see, the top black line is missing.

The "Alt-F 0.1RC6 Status Page" text is not centered.

The "When done you must save your settings" text is not centered

Some menu have blue text which is not centered.

This flaw is happening on every Menu Items.

Another thing I notice was, the column are not centered with the column's title.   IE:  In the Status Page, Disk. the model# is not centered below "Model"

Other then these minor flaws, everything else look great.

Very nice theme.
