Hi,First of all, thank you to the developer(s) and supporters of Alt-F, it's very impressive in terms of functionality and usability; especially appreciate all the built-in documentation!Regarding services (either Network, System, or User), do the services have to be "Boot Enabled" in order to work automatically? For example: I've configured the "smart" service to check my drives every 4 hours for defects and check my disks every 90 minutes. However I haven't check-marked the "Boot Enabled" box, so will this service still perform these checks automatically?
Will this service automatically start running again after a reboot?
Thank you.
Thank you for the quick response.I had a feeling that this might be the case... However the interface is a little misleading, because under System Services it shows "cron" as running, and yet it isn't "Boot Enabled". Therefore I thought that selecting "Boot Enabled" would force disks to be checked (or whatever other service functions) to be performed immediately upon startup... which would put a lot of burden on the device all at once, so I left it un-checked.I now understand what the "Boot Enabled" option does.If you could put something in the documentation like: "you must check-mark "Boot Enabled" in order for the service to be enabled after a shutdown or reboot", I think that would help clarify.
