I flashed my DNS-320LW and all seemed to go right. I have a live webpage and can make changes; I can see all my folders and subfolders, however, the front LEDs are flashing blue/orange.

When I try to open the NAS in Windows, I get the following pop-up.
Restoring Network Connection

An error occurred while reconnecting N: to
W192.168.7.169\Volume_1
Microsoft Windows Network: The local device name is already
in use.
This connection has not been restored.

What do I need to do to gain access... Please describe the steps in layman's terms.

Naaah, just Windows quirks...
Try cmd as Administrator and run
net use * /delete /y

Then access the drive again.

In your opening post, you stated that your NAS was on 192.168.7.169, try doing a ping at that address and see if you get a response.
From what I recall of the Windows 'map network drive' box you should be able to specify the IP address to connect to.
In recent Windows (maybe all, it's a decade since I migrated to Linux Mint) that 'map network drive' link is only displayed when you are looking at the top level of the filesystem, i.e. 'My Computer'. There used to be a 'browse' button, is that still there?
