Hi folks,

Just started the NAS again after some months idle.
It's a DNS-325  Hw Ax.

I am unable to update anything.
I have tried via the web mgmt GUI, and also via SSH command line.
The result in both cases looks like this:

GUI

Upgrading at on /Alt-F from 3.1.16 to 3.1.23... Downloading https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/alt-f/pkgs/unstable/at_3.1.23_arm.ipk Nothing to be done An error ocurred, return value: 22. Collected errors: ipkg_download: ERROR: Command failed with return value 5: `wget --passive-ftp -q -P /tmp/ipkg-MB53Fw https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/alt-f/pkgs/unstable/at_3.1.23_arm.ipk' Failed to download at. Perhaps you need to run 'ipkg update'?

CLI/SSH

$ ipkg update
Downloading https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/alt-f/pkgs/stable/Packages
Downloading https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/alt-f/pkgs/unstable/Packages
An error ocurred, return value: 2.
Collected errors:
ipkg_download: ERROR: Command failed with return value 5: `wget --passive-ftp    -q -P /tmp/ipkg-hkQzCk https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/alt-f/pkgs/stable/Packages'
ipkg_download: ERROR: Command failed with return value 5: `wget --passive-ftp    -q -P /tmp/ipkg-hkQzCk https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/alt-f/pkgs/unstable/Packages'

What does the error refer to?

Cheers,
Stuart

It seems there was a recent discussion on this list about problems with ipkg.  Did you search the list at groups.google.com?

I searched "ipkg" and found what jogged my memory.  It's about CA certificates and that seems it might affect a "some months idle" machine.  I'll post that link and leave you to your investigations:
