Hi,
We have enjoyed years of reliable espresso with our Vienna. I need to try descaling but it is getting a little long on the tooth. If descaling doesn't resolve the 'splurty' water and I can't find a shop to rebuild . . . it may be time to replace.
Right now I'm looking at the Intuita and Intella. Both have significant improvements of which the automatic water-path cleaning looks most attractive. The Vienna is strictly manual. But I thought I'd ask.
Near as I can tell, the Intuita is pretty much a smaller Intella. There is about a $200 difference but I'm wondering if the Intuita might be a soon discontinued model?
Discontinued doesn't bother me and often means a great price-performance point. But if there is some value in the Intella I've missed, I'm interested.
Yes, I'll try descaling and hope for the best. There is nothing wrong with the Vienna but we have a lot of lime in our water.
Thanks,
Bob Wilson
