This is a giant gourami that staff at Sea Life London Aquarium have weaned off chocolate. Staff at the aquarium were baffled by the 8.8lb (4kg) fish's refusal to feed, until they learned the gourami, named Gary, 15.7in (40cm) long, had been brought up on chocolate. So the team stuffed crushed Kit Kat pieces inside grapes to get Gary to 'take a break' from his daily fix.

A rare zebra/donkey crossbreed has been born at Cang Hai Zoo in Xiamen, southern China's Fujian Province. The foal has distinctive zebra stripes on parts of its body, while brown fur covers the rest. According to zoo staff the male youngster, is the result of a natural breeding between a female zebra and a male donkey. However, as the zebra shares her enclosure with three male donkeys it is not known which one is the father. Zebra and donkey crossbreeds are known by a number of different names, including: zonkey, zebonkey, zebrinny, zebrula, zebrass and zedonk.
