Ek Daav Dhobi Pachad is a 2008 Marathi comedy film directed by Satish Rajwade and starring Mukta Barve, Subodh Bhave, Bharat Ganeshpure and Girish Joshi. He has a loyal friend and sidekick named Baghwan, who helps him in his activities.
One day, Dada meets his long-lost love Hema, who is now a successful fashion designer. He tries to woo her, but she rejects him, saying that he is not the same person she had met years back. She comments on his language, clothes and way of living. She also tells him that she is engaged to Babu, a rich businessman from Mumbai.
Unable to face the rejection, Dada decides to change himself and win Hema's heart again. He appoints a Marathi teacher named Sulakshana to improve his language skills. He also hires a fashion designer named Sayali to stitch international clothes for him. He starts helping all the loved ones in trouble, such as his cousin Trimbak Joshi, who is a struggling lawyer, and his friend Francis, who is a taxi driver.
Dada's transformation makes everyone wonder that he is planning to come up with a new plan this time. His enemies, such as Inspector Dande and Prof Parkhadkar, try to expose his true identity and ruin his reputation. However, Dada manages to outsmart them every time with his wit and humor.
Dada also impresses Hema with his new personality and gestures. He takes her to various places, such as a beach resort, a temple and a movie theater. He also saves her from Babu's goons, who try to kidnap her. Hema gradually falls in love with Dada again and agrees to marry him.
However, on the day of their wedding, Babu arrives with Inspector Dande and Prof Parkhadkar. They reveal Dada's criminal background and arrest him for his illegal activities. Hema feels betrayed and leaves him. Dada escapes from the police custody with the help of Baghwan and Francis. He goes to Hema's house and explains everything to her. He tells her that he changed himself only for her love and that he is ready to give up everything for her happiness. He also tells her that he loves her more than anything in the world.
Hema realizes her mistake and forgives him. She confesses her love for him and agrees to marry him again. Dada and Hema get married happily with the blessings of their families and friends.
The music of the film was composed by Ajay-Atul and the lyrics were written by Guru Thakur and Sandeep Khare. The songs were sung by Ajay Gogavale, Bela Shende, Swapnil Bandodkar, Vaishali Samant and Shreya Ghoshal. The soundtrack album was released by Zee Music Company.
