while using maps there is a speaker icon. You have 3 options, volume, only important alerts or off. You should also be able to disable notifications in settings for Apple Maps. I would rather get the alert than get a speeding ticket. Turning the volume off will allow your music to keep playing during notifications.
The speed check popped up for the first time ever for me this past weekend and at the time I was not playing any music. So I found your post researching how this happened. So I am just learning about it also. Sorry my post was of no use. it actually alerted me to an actual speed check so I was thankful for it. Even though I was not exceeding the speed limit.
You can adjust the speed of video clips in iMovie. You can even fine-tune speed adjustments for a single clip by dividing it into ranges, each with its own speed. For example, you could set multiple ranges so that a clip slows down, speeds up, and then slows down again.
The bug is, even though the watch is paired with speed sensor, and allows me set up wheel size, but when cycling, apple watch is actually not using the real-time data from my sensor but GPS data. When cycling in tunnel and underground space, there is no speed data.
I am having the exact same issue. I have just purchased cheap Magene cadence/speed sensors from Aliexpress and had my first two rides this morning and I can confirm that while the cadence sensor works as expected, data from the speed sensor does not appear in Health app and I believe that during the workout the speed that was showing up was indeed from the GPS (I had a typical delay in speed decreasing over long period of time after quickly stopping on red lights).
same with my Garmin speed sensor and watch OS 10. Only in indoor cycle training, the speed comes from the sensor an goes to the health app, but with wrong speed values (10x faster). In early betas of watch OS 10 it works correct, in outdoor and indoor cycle trainings ....I will try the lastest beta in the next days....
We believe that it's a conflict of interest when Internet service providers operate their own speed tests. A third party opinion is necessary and the provider shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the process. When providers host their own speed tests they eliminate the variables that you're here to test. Just curious. I tested this on an almost 600 mile road trip from Detroit to Cleveland and back this past weekend. I had Apple Maps iOS 14.5+ going in the foreground, and Waze in the background. Over the course of the trip, Waze warned of about 10-12 different police cars coming up within the next 1/2 mile on the side of the road, checking speeds. Not a single one showed as a warning in that area on Apple Maps. I know people have to submit the reports in order for Apple Maps to know they are there ahead of time.
But, my question is, are people not reporting police cars parked and checking speeds on Apple Maps, or are they reporting them and Apple is not displaying the markings for some reason? Even when I submit them myself, it say REPORT SUBMITTED by nothing shows on the map, like it does instantly with Waze.
Same here! I have a 24TB G Shuttle and a 60TB G Shuttle, ive spent close to $10K between the two of them and was ensured by apple and G-Tech they would work with my M1 laptop and M1 MAC STUDIO and neither work with EITHER. Breeding of apple (Malus domestica) remains a slow process because of protracted generation cycles. Shortening the juvenile phase to achieve the introgression of traits from wild species into prebreeding material within a reasonable time frame is a great challenge. In this study, we evaluated early flowering transgenic apple lines overexpressing the BpMADS4 gene of silver birch with regard to tree morphology in glasshouse conditions. Based on the results obtained, line T1190 was selected for further analysis and application to fast breeding. The DNA sequences flanking the T-DNA were isolated and the T-DNA integration site was mapped on linkage group 4. The inheritance and correctness of the T-DNA integration were confirmed after meiosis. A crossbred breeding programme was initiated by crossing T1190 with the fire blight-resistant wild species Malus fusca. Transgenic early flowering F(1) seedlings were selected and backcrossed with 'Regia' and 98/6-10 in order to introgress the apple scab Rvi2, Rvi4 and powdery mildew Pl-1, Pl-2 resistance genes and the fire blight resistance quantitative trait locus FB-F7 present in 'Regia'. Three transgenic BC'1 seedlings pyramiding Rvi2, Rvi4 and FB-F7, as well as three other BC'1 seedlings combining Pl-1 and Pl-2, were identified. Thus, the first transgenic early flowering-based apple breeding programme combined with marker-assisted selection was established.

If you delve into the TMSC public documentation on their timelines, we see it is far more complicated than the headline figures suggest. The current "3nM" process as advertised by Apple for both their A17 series and M3 series is merely a stepping stone from the previous "5nM" process, which also is not what its name says. There are probably two more generations of SOCs, As and Ms, before we actually arrive at something that can truly be called 3nM. By then, the talk will be about "2nM".
I am happy with my M1 MBA 16GB/2TB until at least the M5 comes along.

Not accounting for other changes and just looking at the size reduction ratio alone, I think the math would suggest that 3nM is a 40% reduction of 5nM, so maybe a 40% increase in speed?

I am surprised to see that my mac with i5 icelake cpu beats out the m1 by a hefty margin. It is more like an m1 pro. I guess they never upgraded it to tiger lake because the difference vs apple sillicon would have been quite small.
