Those who have watched sports anime know that most are made with the same formula. A team works hard to overcame various opponents and goes through tournament after tournament to get there. On top of that you have athletes with super-human ability all over the place to the point that it gets hard to suspend the realism.
\"If I only had space on my overcrowded shelf for one book on anime, this would be it. If I had no space on my shelf I'd select two books at random and drop them into the bin, just to make room-- it's that indispensable.\"-- Paul Jacques, Anime on DVD

The ending of this anime is not only written very well, but was also presented flawlessly. Having one whole episode to tie up every loose ends is a masterstroke by the director. Unfortunately, there is no second season for this anime though.
Animation/Direction:-
While the animation quality for normal scenes is passable, the ones for fast-paced scenes (like the ones in the race) are almost always mediocre, and sometimes can be downright terrible. Some racing scenes are done in CGI and they are much better. Integration between 2D and CGI scenes are not exactly seamless though. Choreography in action scenes in this anime, especially in the tournament arc are great. The directing is good, especially when doing the presentation of the ending and there is also some nifty camera tricks in some rainy racing scenes.

Nona is a sweet innocent girl, not realizing she is a doll and thinking the anime plot she is from is real. Because of that, she can be quite naive to the real world and can be easily fooled or lied. While normally she ain't aggressive, she will unleash her hidden arsenal upon considering someone an enemy.
Nona was on a mission seeking new intelligent life, but not understanding how, she ended up in Haruto Bouida's house. There she pretended to be a doll as Haruto entered the room, but as he attempted to take her pants off, she automatically entered self-defense mode and attacked him. As things between them settled down, she accidentally saw her anime, but thought it was real. She then accepted Haruto's offer to stay in his place and keep doing her mission.
