For several decades the ANC and SACP have embraced the theory and approach of the National Democratic Revolution or NDR. Since the late 1980’s Cosatu also embraced this approach to the liberation struggle and socialism. For some, this approach has deflected the struggle of workers for socialism while for others like Numsa, the NDR has been derailed.
