I have gone through a lot of the posts here and on IH8MUD but cannot find a definitive answer. Bone stock with the 18"s and no airbags. Will be putting Yoko G015s on it. I think I might be ok with a little rub on tight turns, but nothing wild.

We need a new carb for my Dad's 460 F150 (1978). I already have the adapter plate for an aftermarket 4 barrel but need help picking something out. It is bone stock and is just used for truck like things. I am thinking (from a small amount of internet research) that a 600-650 should be plenty. I am looking through THESE and having a hard time telling what I should order. Cheaper is better, but I do want something that will work well this the truck.

Every public official who makes or participates in making governmental decisions is required to file a Statement of Economic Interests, commonly referred to as the Form 700. For detailed instructions about how to fill out and submit a Form 700, please visit How to File a Form 700.

An official may vote to hold another position even if the voting official will receive additional income so long as the public is informed prior to the vote or consent item. FPPC Regulation 18702.5 provides for the filing of a Form 806 under these circumstances. Each agency must post on its website a single Form 806 which lists all the paid appointed positions to which an official will vote to appoint themselves. When there is a change in compensation or a new appointment, the Form 806 is updated to reflect the change. The form must be updated promptly as changes occur.

The gain for both tests was fixed, so this chart shows that the modified circuit has nearly 2dB higher output. Further, it shows that the stock circuit inexplicably boosts high frequencies. Given that the capsule is already boosted in the highs, this combination results in a super-bright, unbalanced sound. More on that in the acoustic test, below.

This graph shows an acoustic test of the stock vs. the modified microphone. What is not shown is the relative gain levels, as we've normalized them for display here. The modified microphone has nearly 5dB higher output than stock, with lower noise. This is one of the benefits of the modification.

The frequency response of your microphone would depend on both the capsule choice (RK-47, RK-12, RK-87) and on the value of the EQ or "tone" capacitor. In this microphone, we used an RK-12 capsule with a 330pF cap. The result has warmer, fuller lows than the stock microphone, and a much more neutral top end. The stock microphone is grossly boosted, +8dB @ 12kHz, while the modified microphone has a smooth response (2dB) through 15kHz.

Note: although the circuit can be used with (and can provide corrective EQ for) the stock Apex capsule, we strongly recommend that you order one of our excellent large-diaphragm capsules to accompany this circuit upgrade kit. The RK-12 is the best-selling choice for tube mic upgrades.

Key to building any 460 V8 is proper flowing heads. The earliest stock heads (C9VE or DOVE castings) provide the best factory flow, but there are plenty of aftermarket options out there, including aluminum units that are significantly lighter than the original Ford monsters. Properly-sized exhaust ports are necessary when installing a hotter cam in the 460, as '70s-era designs (which offer excellent intake area but poor exhaust restrictions) simply can't breathe deep enough to match the demands. Trick Flow, Ford Racing, and Edelbrock all make high performance heads that fit the big block.

Before Advanced Audio Microphones was even conceived Dave upgraded two of these for his friend Paul Baker with the exact mod we still do! The rest, as they say, is history.

We begin by changing out your stock capsule for our AK12. The amplifier circuit is modified and the proper tube is put in. The transformer is replaced with our dual bobbin BV11 transformer and a brand new CM12 sleeve is put on there to match the beautiful sound! The power supply is also optimized to the correct voltage.

There are definitely some errors on the TM site, mainly in the custom shaft section....The weights of the Motore Speeder Tourspec 7.3 that comes stock in the SLDR 430 TP are one prime examaple. (Shaft weights shown for the 7.3 are definitely incorrect). Actual weight for that shaft ranges from 73 grams to 77 grams depending on the Flex.

I picked up an SLDR with the stock 57-S shaft in it and I have been pleasantly surprised. I just knew as a "made for" shaft it was going to be garbage, but I was wrong.

I've been playing an AD-DI 6x or Oban Devotion 6 for the last year or more with great results, but the Speeder 57 S-Flex in the SLDR is going to stick around a while. I am quite impressed.

I know this is probably stupid of me, but I never even hit one shot with the stock shaft. Immediately put my Veylix Alpina in it and proceeded to have the best 9 holes of driving I have ever had. Since then I have come back down to reality alittle bit, but still hitting some pretty big bombs with it.

Due to the recoil energy and recoil velocity of the cartridge rifles designed for the .460 Weatherby Magnum and other cartridges in its class demand particular attention with regard to their design. Most modern rifles designed for cartridges of this class incorporate design features that reduce the felt recoil to the shooter and improve durability. Rifles chambered for the .460 Weatherby Magnum require close mating of metal to stock. This can be accomplished by properly bedding the action to the stock. Recoil lugs and crossbolts serve the purpose of preventing a movement differential between the action and the stock which could lead to further loosening between the action and the stock or splitting the stock. Proper bedding and properly installed recoil lugs and crossbolts can go a long way in preserving the integrity of the firearm chambered in cartridges such as the .460 Weatherby Magnum as functional implements.

The Weatherby Mark V is the most popular rifle chambered for the .460 Weatherby Magnum cartridge. The rifle stock is engineered to minimize the felt recoil of heavy recoiling cartridges. The California Style Monte Carlo stock's slanting comb will under recoil push away from the shooter's face.[35] The rifle stock is also designed with a generous cast off to help tame the heavy recoil of the .460 Weatherby Magnum. The rifle uses an aluminum bedding block and recoil lugs to prevent any movement between the stock and the action. At a point of time the .460 Weatherby Magnum was offered for sale as an over the counter item in a few Mark V rifle lines, however, at present it is only available in the Mark V Deluxe. The Weatherby Custom Shop does offer the rifle in a few lines such as the Crown Custom, Dangerous Game Rifle (DGR) and the Safari Custom. All the over the counter and custom shop rifles are built on the Mark V action which is regarded by many as one of the strongest rifle actions available. The first .460 Weatherby's were built on Magnum Mauser actions but these were found wanting due to the higher pressures generated by Weatherby cartridges. The Mark V action is able to contain 200,000 psi (14,000 bar) pressure.[36]

Although most elephant guns are equipped with open sights the typical Weatherby Mark V rifle chambered for the .460 Weatherby Magnum does not come equipped with open sights.[41] Instead they are drilled and tapped for scope mounts.[41][42] The cartridge's performance even at 200 yd (180 m) leaves enough energy necessary to bring down large dangerous thick skinned game. At these ranges, telescopic sights have a greater advantage than open sights.[43] The stock itself is designed for with the intent of providing the shooter a higher line of sight which is consistent with the use of telescopic sights.[44]
