Hi, I'm hoping the alphagrip community can comment on the severity of
the tactile response of the alphagrip's keyswitches.

I basically experience joint pain from the shock-waves generated by
micro-switches and silicon dome switches, so my current keyboard uses
cherry non-tactile switches. The group administrator has already
confirmed for me that the alpha-grip's keys are tactile, but I'm sill
interested if perhaps another user with this problem is using the
alpha-grip successfully.

Actually, how loud a click or thud the keys make will also be helpful.
If someone can answer in terms of a percentage of the volume of a
model m key-switch I can probably make an educated guess whether I can
use the alpha-grip or not.

Thanks.

I would suggest reading about some of the modifications people have
made to the key switches. They do have a decently loud click, but some
people have added foam to the keys to allow them to slide their
fingers back and forth instead of clicking down as on a normal
keyboard.
Something like this should help a lot.

While the keys are loud, they don't seem to have such a hard stop as
most keyboards do. It's a very loose feel to the keys which produces
the loud sound.

Hope this information helps you, and I hope you decide to purchase a grip soon.

It looks as though the foam might work actually, thanks.
