Starting to seriously consider pre-ordering an Alphagrip out of the next production run, the only real hurdle left is getting an idea of how it feels to operate. I've bought too many devices only to find within 5 minutes that I don't like how they fit my hands, so even passing around a broken one to fiddle with would be a big help.

Are there any non-working units floating around someone would be willing to sell for cheap? Modded, gutted, all the letters worn off- doesn't matter. As long as most of the keys are on it and the trackball is still in the socket, that's good enough.

Well one thing I can tell you is that if you have long fingers, you
probably won't like it.
I guess I have longer than normal fingers because I have to bend my
fingers back too far to hit the keys.

We may have a couple of defective units lying around. Shoot an email
over to sup...@alphagrip.com with your shipping address and we'll get
back to you.

I had the same problem at first too. It was tiring to pull in my
fingers to hit the outside keys. So now I leave my fingers on the
inner side of the keys and push and pull on the inner corner to rock
the keys back and forth. It's much more comfortable that way, and I
think it's a bit faster too (after some practice).

Excellent, thanks Mike!

I'm not really concerned about modding or adding pads to resize it, there just isn't any other way to accommodate individual sizes yet. Since I'm most concerned with the deadzone in my thumb joint, spacing hands farther away from the edges seems like it would help with trackball usage ayway.
