Dear Student Leaders,

 

Attached is the 2013 New York Student Leader Convention Scholarship Application.  You must submit your application, essay and resume on Monday April 15^th by 5:00pm EST to convent...@newyork.alpfa.org

If you have already submitted your essay and resume, you must still complete the first page of the attached application. The scholarship is open to committee and board members that served during the 2012-2013 academic year AND for committee and board members elected to serve during the 2013-2014 academic year. I strongly encourage all student leaders to apply!

 

Please find the updated ALPFA NY Student Event calendar – Spring/Summer 2013

-          4/12: Basic Excel Workshop [duplicate sessions; for those who will also attend the follow up event with Becker/DeVry]

-          Deadline 4/15: ALPFA NY Student Leader Convention Scholarship

-       4/18: Sixth Annual ALPFA Baruch Business Banquet with Keynote Speaker Manny Espinoza, ALPFA National CEO

-          4/19: Basic Excel Workshop [duplicate sessions; for those who will also attend the follow up event with Becker/DeVry]

-          Tentative last week in April: Becker/DeVry Excel in the Workplace Workshop [registration will be open to the students who attended the Basic Excel Workshop first, limited seating available]

-          Tentative 1^st week in May: 2^nd Annual Graduation Event (we would like to announce the NY Student Convention Scholarship Winners during this event)

-          Tentative week of 5/27: Internship Touch Point Program, Part 1 (actual event)

-          6/1: Resume Review and Mock Interview Saturday Sessions (Resume Reviews ONLY)

-          6/8: Resume Review and Mock Interview Saturday Sessions (Resume Reviews ONLY)

-       6/15: Veteran Symposium

-          Tentative last week in June: Pre-Convention Event

-          Tentative 7/10: Internship Touch Point Program, Part 2 (conference call)

-          7/13: Resume Review and Mock Interview Saturday Sessions (Mock Interviews ONLY)

-          7/27: Resume Review and Mock Interview Saturday Sessions (Mock Interviews ONLY)

-          Tentative week of 7/29: Internship Touch Point Program, Part 3 (actual event)

-          8/3 -8/7: ALPFA National Convention, Washington, D.C.

 

There will be follow up emails with further details as they are confirmed.

Please make sure to provide your newly elected board roster as we will be referencing it to verify scholarship applicants.
