You and your friend must both have Steam accounts and you'll need to be friends on Steam. You can purchase Steam digital gift cards for any user that you have had on your friends list for at least 3 days. Please note that you cannot use existing wallet funds to purchase a digital gift card.
Their digital gift card will be delivered into their Steam Wallet to use right away once your friend accepts their gift. That means your friend can purchase games, or micro-transactions. If your friend's account is not limited, they can even purchase items from the Steam Community Market.
Of course! Everyone loves getting personalized gifts. If you know which game your friend already wants then you can buy that game as a gift from the Steam store. However, if you aren't quite sure what your friend might want for, say their birthday or holiday, then a Steam gift card can be a great gift. Digital gift cards can also help you contribute to a friend's game purchase or to help them buy a micro-transaction item.
If your friend declines your digital gift card then your purchase will be refunded. If possible, your purchase will be refunded to your original payment method. If your payment method does not support this, then the purchase will be refunded into your own Steam Wallet.
In the rare event that a market restriction will be applied to your account upon accepting a digital gift card we'll display a clear warning before accepting to avoid any surprises. If avoiding the restriction is important to you, you may wait until after the day mentioned in the warning before accepting the gift. If no such message is displayed, then no restriction will apply when accepting.

Like 4 days ago, I bought a 20 euros steam giftcard, but when I went again the next day to grab another one since the previous day there were alot of them, all there was left was 1 gift card. I thought to myself that i was lucky for finding the last one, and I thought that someone interested bought all of the remaining 100, 50 and 20 euros gift cards.
I got my giftcard, all fine, but whats happening? why are all gift cards being removed from stores? I went to a couple other stores but they did not have them at all or they were left with 1 or 2.What is happening?
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) reported that gift card scam incidents nearly tripled between 2017 and 2020. Yet, according to AARP, nearly a quarter of U.S. adults are unaware that gift cards are a form of payment commonly used in scams.[*]
Among the increasing reports of such types of fraud are Steam Wallet gift card scams. While Steam gift cards are typically used to buy video games sold by the gaming platform, they can also be used to steal money or credentials.
Many people pay for purchases using their PayPal account and expect to receive an invoice. Scammers take advantage of this behavior and adjust the Terms and Conditions or Notes to make it seem like the victim still owes them money. Then, they ask for the balance in the form of a gift card.
Scammers have also been known to persuade victims to make payments using Steam gift cards. While negotiating the sale of a vehicle online, scammers may press a potential buyer into sharing Steam gift card codes as payment.
In fact, just last year, a Pennsylvania widow lost over $39,000 in a romance scam.[*] The scammer posed as a love interest, pursuing her on Facebook and inventing dozens of scenarios in which he needed gift cards to pay for a lawyer, visa, and more.
Really, the only legitimate way to win money is through a state or city lottery. All other online sweepstakes, competitions, or prizes are bogus; claims to use gift cards as a vehicle for sending money are part of the scam.
The buyer (also the scammer) asks the seller to confirm the balance on the card while on the phone with the card issuer. As the seller types in the PIN number on the back of the card, the scammer records the touch tones and hangs up before paying for the card.

Im trying to sell some jewelry, and this guy contact me on my post, asking if he can pay using paypal. He is from another country, and wants me to ship it to him, but i said i needed the payment first. He then says he will transfer the money using a business account on paypal, and i need to give him a steam card number for this to happen. (I know, red flag) i proceed to be sceptical, and asks why and how that would work, as i have never had any issues receiving money before. His reason was, that it is from a business account to a personal account, and also that it is an international transfer.

The only real difference between a physical and digital gift card is the amount of money they come in. Physical cards are sold in amounts of $20, $30, $50, and $100, while digital cards can be worth $5, $10, $25, $50, and $100.
A Steam card comes with an activation code, which can be used by the recipient to put the Steam card's value into their account's digital Steam Wallet. The Wallet balance can can then be used to buy games, downloadable content, and in-game items.
If you send a digital Steam card, the receiver will have the money added to their wallet by accepting the gift. If you've received a physical gift card, then you can activate it online by inputting the code.
EDIT: I started it up with the help of irc.ubuntu.com with this article: -to-fix-broken-steam-linux-client-with-radeon-graphics-driver-workaround/ ... but I can't start up any game at all
As mentioned in the comments, the solution is to remove the .deb file installed from the Steam website and do sudo apt-get install steam as it automatically installs the required libraries and packages required for the proper functioning of Steam.
Unfortunately, Steam players are not able to make Marketplace purchases using an Xbox gift card. This is because Steam purchases are processed by Valve, not Microsoft, and they do not accept MS gift cards as a valid payment type.
Aside from serving as a resourceful present to a gamer, a cheap Steam gift card is perhaps the most convenient method of payment at the Steam store. Once you buy a Steam gift card, you receive a Steam Wallet code that you need to redeem to transfer money from the Steam card to Steam Wallet. The activation process is rather simple:
Once you successfully redeem your purchased Steam voucher, the money will reach your Steam Wallet in just a few minutes and you are all set to go and buy whatever you desire from the rich selection of gaming content on Steam. Easy to use, fast and reliable way to add funds to your Steam account without using any credit cards or other payment methods that might seem just a little tedious. The best microSD cards for the Steam Deck teach a simple lesson: more space plus high speeds equals good. Valve themselves clearly agree, as the new Steam Deck OLED exclusively deals in high capacity SSDs for its internal storage options.
According to its marketing prose, the Kingston Canvas Go! Plus is for "adventurers." Is playing God of War on the 11:55 Paddington to Swindon service an adventure? Either way, this microSD card proves it can suit the Steam Deck just as well as a GoPro, with a particularly zippy average time in the Shadow of the Tomb Raider launch test.
After months of largely being a US-favoured proposition, all three varieties of the XLR8 are now easily available in the UK as well. The SanDisk Ultra has the advantage of a wider capacity range, including a 1TB model, but otherwise there's very little between these two microSD cards on price or Steam Deck performance.
UHS (Ultra High Speed) is the current interface standard for SD and microSD cards, with specific ratings like UHS-I, UHS-II, and UHS-III denoting maximum transfer speeds. UHS-I cards have a max speed of 104MB/s, while UHS-II and UHS-III can reach 312MB/s and 624MB/s respectively.
(For what it's worth, UHS-II and UHS-III microSD slots are likewise backwards compatible with UHS-I microSD cards, which is why you can use any of the cards listed above with the UHS-II-equipped Asus ROG Ally. If, hypothetically, you wanted to ditch your Steam Deck in favour of Asus' more powerful handheld, any microSD card you bought for the former would still work in the latter.)
