قام عدد من المستوطنين بسرقة ثمار الزيتون الرومي من أراضي المواطنين في حي تل الرميدة بمدينة الخليل جنوب الضفة المحتلة.
قطعان المستوطنين قدموا من مستوطنات (رمات يشاي) القريبة من الحي، وعمدوا إلى قطف الثمار دون أدنى اعتبار لأحقية ملاكها الأصليين من المواطنين الفلسطينيين.
ونجحت مجموعة من تجمع شباب ضد الاستيطان في منع المستوطنين من استكمال سرقة الزيتون، وجرى استرداد كميات من الزيتون الذي سرقه المستوطنون.
يشار إلى أن المستوطنين يستبيحون في كل عام أشجار الزيتون الفلسطينية، انطلاقا من قناعاتهم التلمودية بأن الزيتون "ملك للجميع"، مبررين بذلك سرقتهم للثمار والأحجار والأرض الفلسطينية.
