Dear all,
It is getting to be time to finalize the ALMA time-domain whitepaper — the ALMA Science Advisory Committee meets in mid-March (a bit delayed from initial plans), and we'd like to circulate something to its membership a bit ahead of time to give them the chance to digest it.
Thanks to everyone that has contributed to the writing thus far! As a reminder, the document is editable online via this URL:
For convenience, I've attached the current version. There are a few action items:
- Look over the science cases. I would like to broaden the number of areas that we touch on. AGN? Star formation? Etc. If one of your areas of interest is not represented well in the current version, please add a bit of text — a sentence or two is all we need!
- Look over the recommendations. I have done my best to synthesize everyone's ideas into specifics. Speak now or forever hold your peace!
- Recruit more cosignatories! The more people and institutions that are represented, the more impact we can have.
Because the document is on Overleaf, if you see something that can be improved, you can just go ahead and make the change. You are encouraged to do so!
My aim is to have a finalized version ready by the end of the week.
Cheers,
Peter
