Dear all,
Things have been quiet here for a little while, but the time is coming nigh for ATSIG to start taking action. Namely, to plan out a whitepaper submission to the ALMA Science Advisory Committee before its meeting this spring, with the goal of giving it a nicely packaged argument of why ALMA technical development should prioritize its time-domain/time-constrained capabilities. Based on the discussions I've had, the goal is to have something ready by the end of the month. More on this soon, you can be sure!
In the meantime, I'm here in Grapevine, TX for the AAS meeting. As are many of you, I expect. It would be great to chat about ALMA and its time-domain/time-constrained abilities face to face! I'm going to suggest the Friday evening poster session as a time to do this. Please email me individually if you're interested in this or any other AAS-y matters.
Cheers,
Peter
