Updates on Upcoming Alluxio 3.0 release

Dear Alluxio community,
We are thrilled to announce our plans for the launch of Alluxio 3.0, which will be versioned as 300 in approximately one month. Going forward, the next release version will be 301 and so on, with agile release cycles of 2-4 weeks for each release.

We are thrilled to announce our plans for the launch of Alluxio 3.0, which will be versioned as 300 in approximately one month. Going forward, the next release version will be 301 and so on, with agile release cycles of 2-4 weeks for each release.
As part of this launch, we will also be renaming our previous development branch of “dora” in GitHub to “main” and making it the default developing branch. This change aligns with industry best practices and reflects our commitment to inclusivity and diversity in our open-source community.
The previous “master” branch in Alluxio/alluxio will continue as “master-2.x” to provide a stable branch for users still running previous versions.
More details of the Alluxio 300 release will be shared shortly. If you have any questions or interests to help us beta-test v300, feel free to contact me.
