சக்தி கிருஷ்ன மூர்த்தியின் நாவல் படமாக்க பட்டது.மருதகாசியும் க.மு.ஷரிபும் பாடல்களை எழுத கே.வி.மகாதேவன் இசை அமைத்திருக்கிறார். கே.வி.எம் க்கு இது இரண்டாவது படம். முதல் படமான அவன் அமரன் 1956ஆம் ஆண்டுதான் திரைக்கு வந்தது. எ.பி.நாகராஜனும் ராஜசுலோச்சனாவும் நடிக்க ஜி.ஆர்.ராவ் இயக்கி இருக்கிறார். என்னிடமிருப்பதோ ஒரே ஒரு பாட்டு. கவலை வேண்டாம் அநாமிகன் இருக்கவே
இருக்கிறார்.

Dear Taj,
While studying at Zahira College,
Colombo while in the 9th Form, I
accidentally
passed the audition for singers held by Radio Ceylon
and became a radio artiste singing
Islamic devotional songs
(this I did only for a very short
period of two years).
For one of my bi-monthly half hour
programme, the late Mr M.A.Mohamed
my song composer suggested that I
should sing a certain chorus song
led by a famous lady singer (now I know
who that singer is - thanks
to you). At that time, as I was
singing mostly A.M.Raja's song,
I turned down the suggestion for some
reasons which I can't now
remember. Though still I remember
the tune, with the passage of
time other details escaped my
mind. Indeed I wanted to make a
request to provide this song, but I
have been postponing doing so
till I remember at least the name of
the film. Lucky for me, and
with thanks to you this morning you
made me to listen to this song
and bring back old
memories.
The song is from the film "Mangaiyar
Thilagam", the singer is
Jamuna Rani and the song is "Unmai anbu
endrum".
Once again thank you for reading my
mind and getting me the
song I wanted most.

- The reason for my being young at heart could be
that almost all of whom I am moving
with are young - most of my friends are young,
at home my children and grandchildren
and in addition members of our group too are
without exception young.
As this is an hindi song, I
desisted myself from requesting the group. As far as I
understand
the group discourages request for songs
in any language other than Tamil.
But, I tried my luck by writing to a handful of members direct.
So far, I have not succeeded though, if
I may say, I have been looking
for it,
surprisingly to you all, for the
last two decades.
To give you an idea as to the tune, I
uploaded to mediafire the sinhala song- the tune
of which was copied from the Kishore's hindi song. This was sung
by the late Mohideen Baig,
who moved from Salem in South India at the age of 13 in 1932
to Sri Lanka and recorded
his first song (a duet) in 1934.
With the birth of Sinhala cinema in
1947,
he became a playback singer. He
died in 1991. He was not familiar with local scripts
and used to write the songs in English
before singing.
