There has been instances in tamilfilms when certain singers imitated others voice
and rendered songs. whether they were successful  or not is a different issue
but we were given the pleasure of doubting who the singer was in real.
 
 
In Manipoor Mamiyar. Malaysia Vasudevan imitated  CSJ voice
for the song "Anantha thein katrey"
 
Sivakadacham (son of  Seerghazhiyar) really makes us wonder whether .
it is his voice or his fathers  in many films
 
Kovai Soundrarajan has made us think of  TMS in  many of his songs
 
In some earlier songs of Mano,it was doubtful whether it was him or was it SPB himself
 
Is there any more like this?
 
Sometimes,  a only one song singer's voice ,   was also mistaken to be a popular singers voice
Think of the song KANDUKONDEIN NAAN KANDU KONDEIN in Mangayar Thilagam.
This voice is a mystery  as it does not resemble any singers voice of that time
 
Let us more hear more of this hidden aways.

Seerkazhi Govindarajan son is Seerkazhi Sivachidambaram.

Normally Jai shanker  was voiced by TMS in that period

Krishnamoorthy used to sing fabulously well on stage many of the difficult TMS songs. I do not remember which archestra team he belonged to. I have heard him perform so well.

 

Imitation, even if exceedingly good, does not shine for long. He could hardly get a couple of chances in movies. Paalabishekam was one that was a hit song.
