I am rushing to make a correction as to the music director of this
film.  I inadvertently mentioned C.Ramachandra as the Music Director.
But actually the fast moving music was composed by maestro O.P.Nayyar.
Sorry for the error.  Can I put the blame on my age?

Hi Zubairji:

I am still not successful in getting your song - Mohabbat Ka Chota Sa Ek Ashiana song composed by S D Burman and sung by Kishore Kumar in the film Pyar (1950).  I am
still hoping to get a positive response from my friends!  Let us wait and see!

Meanwhile, you have mentioned that the song Thaai Naadu Ithe was composed by C Ramachandra.  I was  just wondering after listening to the song as the "beat" of
the song is very much to that of  "OP Nayyar" and not C Ramachandra!  As you will agree that C Ramachandra's compositions will be normally very melodious and romantic
and we cannot compare him with anyone!  But then when the news come from a veteran like you I was a bit confused!

With regards,

veegopalji

Hi Gopalji,
Still I have not given up hope of getting this hindi
song.  It's nice of you that you have not
forgotten my request and still trying to get it for me.

Re. the music director of the film "Naya Daur",
you and MVG are correct.  Thanks for pointing
this out, but it seems both of you have not noticed
the immediate correction I sent when I realised my
mistake, or would have responded before seeing
the correction, which took time to be released
because Thaj was out of town at that particular
moment.

How nice to see both of you are very alert and
also of the knowledge that you are having about the
type of beat, rhythm and tempo etc. when it comes to the
composition of each and every music directors.
Yes, O.P.Nayyar is (I hope and pray he is still amongst
the living) famous for fast rhythm.  Wasn't he
known as "Master of Rhythms"?

Thanks and regards,

dkavitha

Sabash Mr.Zubairji

We certainly have to learn, a lot, from veterans like you
not only the facts on subjects, but also facts of life

In amidst a lot of sweepings going under the carpets these days
You could have easily kept quite, as the error was small and not
significant.
But the the humbleness in you came out, to teach us of hapiness in
admitting facts..

We youngsters are happy to learn a thing or two from veterans like
you,
whereby it helps us to shape up ourselves with modesty, truth and
humbleness

Old is Gold.
We know Rome was not build in a day

Hats off to you Zubair

Thanks & Regards
Kavikavikavi

We wont regret learning fromveterans likeyou in thisfield

Thanks MVG for letting me know the sad news that the "King of Rhythms" is no more.
It is more than 2 years since he passed away.  I give below for those who are
interested to know the greatness of this music director, a report which appeared in
"The Hindu" on the day of his demise.  Hope the moderator would release this
though it has nothing to do with Tamil songs.
Regards

Music maestro O. P. Nayyar dead  (January 16, 1926 - January 28, 2007)

Music director O. P. Nayyar, best known for classic songs like ``Jhumka Gira Re'' and ``Pukarta Chala Hoon Mein'', died of cardiac arrest at his home in Thane on Sunday. He was 81. Described by his contemporaries as a powerhouse of talent, Nayyar enthralled generations of Indians with his lilting romantic numbers featuring a distinctive sound created by the innovative use of the piano, saxophone and rhythms.

The creator of evergreen numbers such as "Chain Se Humko Kabhi Apne," "Tumsa Nahin Dekha" and "Aap Yuhin Agar Hamse Milte Rahen," Nayyar faded from the music scene in the 1970s before his death on Sunday.

Though he did not have a classical background, he overtook many of his contemporaries such as S.D. Burman and Madan Mohan in popularity. And his songs continue to be heard even today, garnering new fans with their unique sound, especially the rhythms that mimicked the clippety-clop of horses.

Nayyar can be credited with advancing the careers of many playback singers in Bollywood such as Geeta Dutt, Asha Bhonsle and Mohammed Rafi, but he never worked with Lata Mangeshkar. ( "Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, who never worked with him during her career as a playback singer, said that his "music always carried its own distinct mark". "His work was different from his contemporaries. One could always identify an O P song. He left his distinct mark on his songs," Mangeshkar told PTI. Talking about her personal relations with Nayyar, she said, "I never sang for him, but contrary to what people say, we did not have any quarrel." )

Born on January 26, 1926 in Lahore, Omkar Prasad Nayyar began his career in films with the background score for Kaneez in 1949. His first big success was Guru Dutt's Aar Paar, which led to a successful partnership with the director of classic films such as Mr And Mrs 55 and CID. He gained distinction for his efforts in Mere Sanam, which featured the evergreen compositions "Jaiyee Aap Kahan Jaayenge" and "Pukarta Chala Hoon Main."

Attired in his trademark white and wearing a hat, Nayyar attempted a comeback in the early 1990s with Andaz Apna Apna.

The creator of all-time hits such as "Mera Nam Chin Chin Choo," "Aei Dil Hai Muskil Jeena Yahan," "Aakhon Hi Akhon Main," "Kahin Pe Nigahen Kahin Pe Nishana," "Jaane Kahan Mera Jigar Gaya Jee" and "Babuji Dhire Chalna" was recently seen in the musical TV show "Sa Re Ga Ma." Though he spent most of his career composing music for films made in north India, he also did the score for south Indian movies such as Neerajanam (Telugu).

Hi:

I don't have songs of "Paattaaliyin Sabatham" if you mean this film.  The right person is
only Taj.  I was telling about O P Nayyar and C Ramachandra on Hindi songs.
